PCTEL Performance Critical Telecom

PCTEL antennas and site solutions support networks worldwide, including SCADA for oil, gas and utilities, fleet management, industrial operations, health care, small cell and network timing deployment, defense, public safety, education, and broadband access.
Job Functions
Essential
? Design and co-develop new designs with OEM’s for the wireless marketplace.
? Work closely with mechanical engineering and production on current and new product development.
? Establish quality standards with the quality department for new product as well as mature product.
? Provide technical advice whenever it is needed.
? Be responsible for making improvements and enhancements to improve materials, performance, manufacturability, and measurement techniques.
? Help sourcing department and purchasing department with new material purchases and development new vendors.
? Work together with production and quality departments to insure smooth production flow.

? Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Requirements
? Regularly uses a keyboard to interact with computer system
? Regularly walks/stands/sits/stoops/bends for extended periods of time
? Regularly proofreads and/or reviews documents
? Regularly communicates verbally
? Frequently lifts objects weighing more than 25 pounds
? Occasionally works in an area that is somewhat uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, temperature variation, etc.
? Frequently travels to locations other than office

Educational/Training Requirements
? Bachelor’s Degree from college or university
? Minimum 2 years experience as an RF engineer or antenna engineer with a understanding of RF technology and material properties
? Must have strong engineering and quality skills on embedded antennas or base station antennas
? Advanced skills on CST, HFSS or MWO simulation software
? Advanced skills on operating network analyzer, spectrum analyzer etc.
? Strong problem solving, analytical, math, organizational and multitasking skills
? Advanced skills in Windows, MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
? Advanced Internet skills
? Advanced verbal and written communication skills in the English language 举报 分享
