Doppler Labs China is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team to manage the supply chain: sourcing and development of suppliers; fostering supplier relationships whilst driving down cost; development and procurement of materials and parts; delivery of qualified materials on the production line; and products outbound to the final destination.

The candidate will maintain the supply chain and project schedule to deliver new and innovative products on time, at the correct quantity and quality, at the same time as meeting or beating cost and time goals, through the NPI stage and into Mass Production. Using advanced manufacturing experience, the candidate will have significant contribution towards Doppler Labs internal tools and process development, alongside internal and external teams.

Supply chain management for efficient continuous consumer electronic product development and manufacturing.

Location of Employment
Doppler Labs Shanghai office with regular travel to supply base around China. Opportunities for international travel.

Employment Start Date
Employment will be for a non-fixed period, position open January 16th 2016.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

? Develop and maintain secure supply chain to deliver the product development schedule alongside the engineering and operational teams
o Understand product technical requirements, group milestones and interdependencies to establish an accurate and effective supply chain infrastructure
o Assist with the sourcing, evaluation and recommending of suppliers for both mechanical and electrical components (and equipment where necessary), and educating vendors on developing their process control capabilities
o Assist in conducting comprehensive supplier analysis (financial due diligence, market position, power within industry, capabilities & capacity, risk assessment). Initiate and manage supplier diversity efforts.
o Work alongside domestic and overseas operations and engineering teams to develop parts together with domestic Chinese and Asia based suppliers
o Develop, monitor and troubleshoot various manufacturing processes at our suppliers and sister divisions including PCBA, die-casting, rubber and plastic molding, turning, stamping, etc.
o Foster and maintain supply chain relationships
o Be comfortable interacting with senior management of suppliers and demonstrate ability to communicate and present to all levels of management
o Maintain profiles on suppliers with new/leading edge technologies that may be of future use based on product roadmap requirements

? Import and export logistics management to ensure correct quality and quantity of part and product delivery to and from manufacturing partners warehouse
o Work alongside supplier quality and logistics departments and Doppler Labs operational teams for demand forecasting, planning, FA and materials and PPAP delivery
o Assist with the sustaining and optimization of production as a project moves from NPI stage into MP
o Work with quality engineers to interpret inspection results, investigate nonconforming factors and institute corrective action, sample and confirm corrective measures, document and amend process procedures.
o Address any business related activities associated with defective materials and/or poor supplier performance
o Coordination with customs and logistics service providers and management of related business relationships
o Prepare to support and scale production and operational capabilities alongside Doppler Labs supply chain growth

? Participate in Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ)
o Assist in the development and management of budgets according to different projects requested
o Carry out and control costs during the progression of projects
o Support in the development of RFI’s & RFQ’s and subsequent purchasing, procurement and logistics operations to drive down cost whilst maintaining robust and secure supply through initiatives such as:
 * design change proposals
 * process improvement recommendations
 * second sourcing

? Develop and implement world class processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy of Doppler Labs operations
o Adhere to and contribute towards development of Doppler Labs internal tools and process
o Integrate system requirements between DLUS and DLCN
o Establish clear goals, objectives and roles & responsibilities
o Monitor and control cost, schedule and deliverables to meet stakeholder’s expectations

Preferred Candidate Profile

? BSc or MSc level Engineering background
? 10+ years experience of manufacturing related supply chain management
? Consumer Electronic contract manufacturer experience highly desirable
? Candidate must have a high bandwidth and possess advanced level of knowledge in manufacturing disciplines preferably involving electronics fabrication and injection molding.
? Additional experience and knowledge of Audio products will be advantageous.
? Knowledge and experience of developing and managing a supply base and working within complex organizational structures
? Strong appreciation of the benefits of process development as a means to improve efficiencies and reduce error, including systems such as ERP and EDI.
? Communication in English and Chinese, both written and spoken, is required at a high standard.
? Possess international and cross-cultural teamwork communication skills and experience;
? Organized, detail oriented and efficient at identifying and analyzing problems, with ability to create and drive solutions.
