The Process Engineer develops and leads improvement projects throughout the whole plant while providing day-to-day technical and engineering support to the operating areas. Assist in overall plant operations to insure product quality while maintaining environmental compliance, safe operations, and cost control. Develop training packages and conduct operator training on new and modified plant equipment and processes. This position is responsible for all aspects of plant operation in support of our customers’ needs. These responsibilities include safety and environmental issues, process reliability and run time, product quality, process improvements, training, and new product development support.
1. Design, develop, and implement equipment and process improvements in support of plant objectives. Provide technical support for optimizing various plant operations. Control factors that affect manufacturing costs.
2. Assist in troubleshooting overall plant operations to insure product quality while maintaining safe operations and environmental compliance.
3. Investigate process incidents, develop action plans, and incorporate findings into standard operating procedures.
4. Develop, maintain, and update ISO/TS-16949 and RC-14002 documentation and standard operating procedures for the operating areas.
5. Develop training information and facilitate operator training on existing, new, and revised plant equipment and processes.
6. Participate with research and product development personnel in conducting plant trials, focusing on the development of new operating procedures and equipment modifications for improved plant operations.
Requirments:
1. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering plus a minimum of 5 years of industrial or related engineering experience.
2. This position provides support for operations; good troubleshooting, mechanical and engineering skills are necessary.
3. This position requires effective communication throughout all levels of the organization and the ability to work across organizational functions to build support from groups and individuals throughout the company.
4. Chinese and English language skills preferred.
