JOB DESCRIPTION
Title/Key role: Purchasing Manager
Reporting to: Office Manager Department: Purchasing

Purpose of having this role in the company:
The primary purposes of the Purchasing Manager role:
1. Lead and develop the purchasing team
2. Coach the purchasers to improve negotiating skills with suppliers for better prices and conditions.
3. Coach the purchasers in skills of managing suppliers, how to maintain good relationship with suppliers, how to get knowledge of the whole process of the products.
4. Motivate the purchasers to be proactive in looking for new products, asking suppliers for new trend of their products, etc, to get
5. Check purchasers’ work to avoid mistakes, evaluate their performances, help them to grow and make the team to give best support to whole corporate’s business operation.

Key accountabilities:
1. New product development planning and management together with OB Purchasers in Dongguan and OB product specialists in Sweden.
2. Together with Purchaser team /TQE team to follow up sample ordering, sample lead time and sample testing
3. Managing and developing suppliers and relationships
4. Together with Quality department monitoring, managing and developing product quality issues
5. Effective cooperation with other people in the organisation in all aspects of purchasing and sourcing
6. Proactive searching for new and better business opportunities and more competitive suppliers for the company
7. Negotiating of purchasing contracts and Business terms (such as price, delivery, warranty terms and etc. )
8. Together with Logistics department monitoring and managing distribution and shipping
9. Active contribution in achieving the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility objectives
10. Handle purchasing items personally to share load of purchasers if needed.

Performance can be measured by:
1. New products with successful sales on market more than two months
2. Reduction in purchasing price
3. Reduction in MOQ size
4. Delivery precision
5. Delivery lead-time decreasing
IT skills required:
1. Microsoft Office
2. ERP or SAP or similar experiences
3. Good excel knowledge

Language skills required:
