职位描述：
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with HQ ID team to understand design intent and goals for each project.
2. Communicate with engineering team and manufacturers to deliver product design intent.
3. Study concepts with engineers and suppliers and make necessary feasibility negotiation while protecting the original design intent.
4. Make sketches, 2D or 3D design changes to the original concepts and counter propose options to Industrial designers if needed.
5. Research color , material, finish(CMF) and develop strategic and tactical solutions as required.
6. Develop various levels of prototypes, including proof of concept, form&style samples, aesthetic samples, and even work samples as needed.
7. Gather and provide comparison data for multiple design options against cost, schedule, quality, and other critical attributes and lead the cross-functional team to achieve consensus.
8. Work with sourcing team to identify new suppliers as needed for project purposes.
9. Review and approve parts/product for production.
10. Adhere to the project budgets and timelines as set by the Program Manager.
11. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally


Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree in Industrial Design or product design.
2. At least 6 years proven experience in the field of consumer product sector.
3. Experience in working for a recognized global brand
4. Experience in working in international, collaborative team setting
5. Excellent sketching, visual communication, and presentation skills
6. Strong understanding of user-experience and ergonomics
7. Ability to understanding engineering challenges and effectively cooperate and negotiate
8. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, metal stamping, die-casting…etc.
9. Understanding of decorative processes, such as painting, anodizing, PVD, plating, graphic transfer…etc.
10. Prior experience in CMF development and validation
11. Prior experience in reviewing samples, establishing limit samples, and approving parts/products
12. Demonstrated DFx ability (Design For Cost, Design For Manufacturing, Design for Installation…etc.)
13. Solid proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office
14. 3D CAD experience is required: Solidworks is preferred, Rhino, or Pro-Engineer are a plus
15. Demonstrated ability to create photo-realistic renderings using 3D software (i.e Keyshot)
16. Strong fluency in both written and verbal English communication skills 举报 分享
