Reporting: reports directly to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities and Duties:
General
- Supporting the tasks, goals, aims, and wishes of senior management in order to help grow the business.
- Identifying, contacting and scheduling sales meetings with potential new customers
- Building and maintaining relationships with potential customers, existing clients and various partners of Obido.
- Strive to build your personal network of teachers, principals, center directors, purchasing department managers and store owners focusing on education, toys and baby goods.?
Business Development Tasks – School Sales
- Create detailed lists of international schools, bilingual schools and kindergartens, including their contact information, address and key decision makers regarding school purchases
- Initiate contact and schedule meetings to introduce our brand, products and services to teachers, principal and/or purchasing department of suitable schools, training center and play groups
- Send catalogues and other promotional materials to potential customers, keep detail records regards to whom they are sent and follow up with emails and phone calls
- Visit schools to meet with teachers, principals and purchasing departments, in order to give presentations, recommend products, give training and close sales.
- Maximize profits and positive cash flow by strictly following Obido’s policies and procedures regarding offering discounts to educational providers.
Business Development Tasks – Distribution Sales
- Create detailed lists of stores selling children’s toys and baby goods that target higher-end consumers.
- Identify owners and key decision makers within these stores and organizations, initiate contact, and work to secure consignment and distribution deals for our core retail lines of goods: Micro Scooters, Jellybean Carpets, Obido Carpets, Animal Planet Figurines and Beleduc Handpuppets.
