Introduction
The position of Account Manager requires a strong passion for building relationships and offering top notch customer service.
You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with your portfolio of assigned customers and connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. You will liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
In addition to serving our current customers, you will also be expected to identify and grow opportunities within your territory and collaborate with Obido’s sales team to ensure growth targets are attained and ideally exceeded.
As the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers, key accounts will view you as a trusted advisor known for honesty and integrity. You will strive to obtain an expert knowledge of the products you represent.
Working Hours and Location
- Working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm with a 30-minute break for lunch. Hours are flexible, based on the approval of your direct manager.
- Weekend work and overtime may occasionally be required. Hours worked during weekends will be compensated by receiving time off in lieu based on hours worked. Time in lieu will accrue in half-day increments.
Responsibilities and Duties
General
- Support the goals, aims, and wishes of senior management in order to help grow the business.
- Lead junior staff and act as a positive role mode
- Complete all tasks assigned to the best of your ability
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, colleagues and sales affiliates
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling regular visits to key accounts to introduce new products and services.
- Recruiting, managing and scheduling book fairs and events for our Events Team, including filling in for team members based on the needs of the event.
- Supporting the aims of our Reading Club program, which may include collecting and reviewing orders on site and transferring funds and information to Obido headquarters.
- Analyzing the market and generating leads for senior sales staff, especially the opening of new schools while the projects are under development.
- Assessing the needs of the market by attending educational events and functions.
