Key Responsibilities:
Partner with HR generalists and business leaders to support consistent and effective application and deployment of talent management and learning/development processes, products and services.
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on Talent Management and learning/development processes (including Talent Planning, PD&R, My Development, Become Corning, Open Mentoring, CLC, and etc.).
Partner with HR generalists and business leaders to ensure adequate internal pipeline of talent to support growth and succession needs.
Help facilitate talent moves for critical positions and for Emerging Talent (especially the movement cross division/function).
Partner with local HR and Learning & Development professionals to deploy global learning processes, products and services.
Provide learning expertise and support for blended learning (classroom, structured OJT, online, virtual classroom, coaching, and etc.)
Establish and manage relationships with regional learning and development suppliers; support the sourcing/procurement process for learning projects.
Work with the businesses and with local training resources to implement and leverage Corning Learning Central (CLC) and blended learning for business value.
Act as key collaborator in design of regional programs and WD&L global learning and development programs.
Work with local HR and training resources to define the Region’s learning and development needs with respect to the strategic and core curriculum, then design and deploy the curriculum to meet business needs.
Deploy strategic curriculum such as Supervisor Effectiveness, Dimensions of Leadership, other leadership development and New Employee Orientation courses and tools.
Consult to local and regional HR, business and functional units (or identify and supervise consulting resources) in areas related to learning (performance solutions, learning design, online learning, learning management systems, action learning, virtual learning, learning development tools, learning architecture.
Consult to local and regional business and functional units to support delivery of human capital processes (e.g. performance management, career development, leadership development, talent management).
Serve as the “voice” of the region into the TMCOE for program/process development.
Education/Knowledge Requirement:
Bachelor degree on labor relations, human resource, or related majors
In-depth knowledge of HR processes and best practices
In-depth knowledge of Learning & Development, especially on training design and deployment
Experience/Skills/Competences:
Minimum of 10 years in HR related experience, with minimum of current 5 years focus on learning development. Preferable experience in HR Generalist
With a demonstrated record of success as a hands-on, contributing member of a team in a highly respected, performance-driven, people-focused, and fast-moving company
Demonstrated ability to design, facilitate, and deliver training courses
Demonstrated ability to build mutually beneficial and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Exceptional relationship management skills, including strong competency with senior leadership, vendor management and cultural awareness
Demonstrated mastery in developing and implementing comprehensive development plans and broader development solutions
Superior leadership, consulting, change management, and project management skills
Strong program development, prioritization, and assessment skills
Superior ability to build partnerships across functions and businesses
Strong communication skills – written, oral and presentation
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Expert facilitator
Fluent English and Mandarin
Position Requirements:
Travel to the US (up to 3 trips annually)
