Our client is a leading International Education and School group based in Beijing with multiple campuses. Their advanced education and international brand has been marketing leading and remains double digit growth every years in profit and revenue.
They are now looking for a PRINCIPAL role and a Vice Head of School, to be based in their NEW ELEMENTARY school, located in CENTRAL Beijing CBD area. Reporting to the Head of School & Chief Academic Officer. We prefer foreigner candidates for EITHER of this role and Mandarin is NOT required for this role.
Description
As the Principal,
You will develop and implement New School policies, programs, curriculum activities, promotes educational development of student and career development of school staff
To achieve the broad goals of the school and plans accordingly and carry out the total school program.
To provide activities helping growth of the school staff and enhance the quality of the instructional program.
To identify and implement the improvement on school annual on objectives: including instructional, extracurricular, and athletic programs of the school.
* Curriculum Objectives: ensures that instructional objectives for a given subject and/or classroom are developed, and involves the faculty and others in the development of specific curricular objectives to meet the needs of the school program.
As the Vice Head of School, Your main responsibilities will be:
*Implementing the school's vision and strategic development. He/she will work in accordance with the guiding principles and policies established by the school while maintaining the strong traditions and ethos of the school.
*Providing academic leadership for the school through staff recruitment, staff orientation and training, staff appraisal, curriculum development, maintenance of international accreditation standards and professional development planning.
*Acting as the primary representative of the school when interfacing with all external agencies and organization dealing with the school.
*Overseeing the financial sustainability of the school, ensuring compliance with budget parameters, meet revenue target, audit requirements and principles of sound corporate governance.
*Overseeing the staff management and staff development of all campuses, ensuring compliance with the local legal regulations.
Profile
You need to be a Dean or Vice Principal for at least a few years before applying this role, coming from both ACADEMID and ADMINISTRATIVE background. You will be intuitively passionate about students, about education and about personal growth.
Ideally, the candidate is responsible for hiring, evaluating, and providing training to teachers and staff also day to day managing operations of the school
He or she is directing and guiding teachers in preparing curriculum and is responsible for ensuring school activities are run according to state and federal laws for education
In the meanwhile, he is responsible for planning and implementing budget for the school and monitoring academic development and growth of the students
*A successful record of leadership in an international school in China
*Proven experience in managing the business and financial aspects of a school of comparable size.
*Experience in expanding revenue streams by exploiting commercial opportunities presented by school facilities.
*The ability to provide sound and genuine professional leadership to the staff.
*The ability to delegate and coach to the staff.
*The ability to create and maintain a strong commitment to academic excellence.
*Experience of planning according to goals aligned with the school's values and strategic priorities.
*Skills in effective strategic planning in a competitive environment, particularly experience of school re-development.
*A strong work ethic.
