Key Responsibilities
Trade Lane Growth
- Implement & achieve targets by ensuring successful results against sales budgets
- Monitor and drive sales performance of sales leads & opportunities in all CN stations
- Measurement is based on year-on-year volumes growth – both import and export.
- Take leads in the preparation of TLM annual budget - which is agreed with partner countries, aligned with Product and approved by country CEO
- Pro-actively advise ‘sponsor’ of trade lanes developments (with the use of Seabury/MIS/EIS information systems) and possible challenges including proposals to further improve TL performance
- Develops action when targets are not met
Sales Responsibilities
-Proactively seek out new business opportunities and at the same time, identify opportunities for growth within existing business.
- Support field sales and area trade lane sales team in active selling of products
- Arrange face to face meetings with key decision makers at the client’s side
Collaboration – tactical planning with stakeholders, including
- Daily dialogue & support for local and overseas commercial teams at all levels
- Formulates development opportunities between local and overseas sales
- Steers local sales force and Area Trade Lane sales by identifying opportunities in assigned trade lane(s), including launching and managing sales campaigns
- Establishes agrees Trade Lane must-win opportunities with Area Trade Lane Sales, Overseas Trade Lane with the support of Product
- Active engagement with product team to enhance existing product offerings
- Monthly conference call schedule: mobilize the collaborative process with overseas trade lane managers
- Agree, schedule and align inbound and outbound CSTs -> maximizing selling with customers
Other Duties
? Provides selling tools assigned lanes such benchmarking and selling kits
? Via TLX strategy development, proactively works service/price innovation increase business
? Prepares reporting/monitoring/root cause analysis Trade Lane performance
? Management of TLX folder within assigned trade lanes
Job Skills and Competencies for this position
? Strong and wide knowledge about design US trade lane for air and ocean
? Sales, marketing and business development experience
? Well developed, commercial and strategic business skills
? Strong communication skill - verbally and written
? Good presentation & negotiation skills
? Ability to support sales team in winning, developing closing business
? Conceptual thinking analytical skills
? Ability identify needs by gathering information
? Good interpersonal skills
? Result-oriented
? Team player
Education, Experience, Certification and Training requirements
? Bachelor degree or above
? Minimum of 7 years’ experience in services and logistics industry, min. 3 years or above trade lane / commercial function is required
? Job related experience in Trade Lane management is highly desirable
? Strong MS applications, fluent English and Mandarin
