Responsibilities
l Under the direction of the Plant Manager this position is responsible for developing and managing the Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems of the Homogeneous Sheet product and systems, ensuring that continuous quality improvements are implemented, sustainable with best practices shared, as well as leading all activities that lead to obtaining and then maintaining ISO registration.
l Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
l A key responsibility of this position is to develop and implement the quality systems for the Homogeneous Sheet Plant in Wujiang, China. Once the plant is operational, this position will provide key leadership to the plant leadership team in executing and improving product quality and quality programs.
l Creates and implements the quality system for the plant
l Provides leadership in creation of a zero defect culture
l Provides support to the operation's management team in the reduction of scrap
l Provides education and training in the application of ISO and Quality Management System (QMS)
l Provides positive energy, leadership to position ISO registration and the QMS as a source of pride for the organization
l Using the appropriate project management software: tracks work packages, reports on status, ensures established deadlines are being met.
l Develops understanding of the Operations documentation/control software that supports the ISO quality system.
l Identifies training needs and provides training as required for all employees to understand roles, responsibilities, and requirements
l Works with outside consultants, registrar and auditors as required. Integrates outside expertise into the manufacturing facility
l Coordinates internal auditing teams and schedule
l Schedules and conducts regular status update sessions with plant leadership
l Provides plant communication link to resources outside the facility
l Works with plant leadership on the plan for maintaining long - term certification
l Interfaces with Customers to drive resolution of customer claims, customer satisfaction improvements and determination of internal process and technology changes to ensure total customer satisfaction
l Analyze and review claims data in a statistical manner to provide information to the Plant Manager.
l Lead Quality Review Meetings
l Responsible for tracking, documentation and successful execution of change management and change control for process & product
