Job description:

- In regards of his R&D extension, *** Zhongshan is searching for a R&D laboratory manager.
- He/she will have the responsibility to improve the performance and the quality of the existing products as well as to develop new soft PVC formula;
- He/she will be in charge of all new products development from the production of samples at the lab scale to the validation through production pilot runs;
- He/she will be in charge to characterize the products: mechanical properties, aging properties, thermal resistance, colour specifications, transparency specifications, fire resistance, conductivity, hardness, etc. The R&D manager will be also the technical contact with the raw material suppliers and responsible of the validation of the incoming raw materials;
- He/she will also works closely with external laboratories and will be responsible of the compliance of the products with regulation;
- He/she will technically support the quality and the production department on new or existing products;
- He/she will report directly to the Factory manager and functionally to the R&D manager of the EXTRUFLEX group;
- Strong autonomy, rigorous and curiosity are the main attended skills.
- Optional: He/she has knowledge about soft PVC formulation and raw material (pvc resin, plasticizers, stabilisers, anti-UV, pigments, etc…). He/she has an experience in plastic transformation (extrusion, injection, calendaring, etc…).

Profile:

- Master of science in chemistry or in plastic processing (or chemical engineer or plastic industry engineer)
- Experience: All profile (beginner accepted)
- Reporting: ZS plant manager and R&D group manager in France
