We are seeking a Frontend developer to support the development of the Chinese edition of Daily FX. Based in Shenzhen, the candidate must be comfortable working both in Chinese and English and dealing with business and technical stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Migrating site from existing platform to IG systems
2. Developing new features and fixing bugs
3. Working closely with business stakeholders to ensure correct features are delivered
4. Improving quality of codebase
5. Active participation in team planning sessions, demonstrations and retrospectives
Experience
1. Experience of hand coding web pages using the latest HTML and CSS standards
2. Experience of JavaScript libraries including jQuery
3. Experience developing sites in PHP
4. Examples of website delivery
5. Fluent in both Mandarin and English
6. Experience of building Chinese websites
Desirable
1. Drupal experience
2. Working with agile
3. GIT experience
4. Experience of building sites with targeted content
5. Experience of optimising websites using web performance best practices
Qualifications
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject area.
Desirable
Educated to degree level or above in computer science or other numerate subject.
