Management of development operations in China for UGG from project hand-off to china development, to product costing, shipment of samples and endorsement of the project to commercialization and production making sure that the integrity of the product is intact. Also responsible for the development and sourcing of new materials and setting up of material physical property in cooperation with the lab manager.
Management of development operations in China for UGG from project hand-off to china development, to product costing, shipment of samples and endorsement of the project to commercialization and production making sure that the integrity of the product is intact. Also responsible for the development and sourcing of new materials and setting up of material physical property in cooperation with the lab manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Write the departmental goals that is in line with the company goal
? Conduct periodic review of development staff’s performance and build training programs that will enhance their skills and improve their performance
? Implementation and monitoring of the Critical Path (development calendar) in China.
? Review of projects with development manager and allocation of projects to the factories in conjunction with the US UGG PD Head, Head of Asia Development, Head of Sourcing, and Deckers sourcing strategy.
? Review final CBS and price with Costing manager before passing it to USPDM.
? Approval of price confirmation form from the factories
? Monitor schedules for issuance of production specs sheets, signing of production confirmations shoes, specs changes, Commercialization package, etc.
? Monitor samples delivery according to the request dates and specification.
? Evaluate factories performance in terms of sample quality, delivery, cost and evaluate sample room, library, material warehouse to make sure it is conforms to the standards mandated by Deckers
? Evaluate supplier’s performance in terms of their ability in material and component development, cooperation, consistency in quality, delivery, and cost.
