职位描述
岗位职责:
1. Define strategic business direction for existing product lines to grow revenue.
? Define new target markets, research customer needs, and competitive capabilities. This strategy is to assist the growth of the existing product line into high-growth markets and applications. Examples of “Markets” include vertical markets, applications, geographies, and Reference Design targets.
? Develop detailed definition and outlook of the identified market, including TAM, SAM, and CAGR. This will include an investigation into the market drivers and why the underlying application will grow at faster than market levels and why it is attractive to the product line. Also, it will identify the key market players and set groundwork for execution.
? Work with Product Management to create channel-based marketing strategies designed to generate sales and increase our exposure. This includes training/seminars for the respective partners as well as visits to key partners (Sales reps, distributors, etc.) to reinforce knowledge base and drive market engagement. Also, this includes the training of the global FAE team in the respective market and product parameters and to design them in.
? Track the progress of each initiative. The goal is to ensure that the plan is on track and allow for analyses after-the-fact to determine if the plan was successful, and to provide information for future initiatives (learn what worked and what didn’t).
2. Define tactical and strategic technology direction for existing or new product lines.
? Define new products to be created by the Development team. This is to be done through direct customer engagements and in working with the global FAE team and Sales channel. In addition, advice on the need for new technology and/or capabilities is to be identified and proposed to the product team.
? Track the progress of the Development process. This includes the collation of new ideas from the global FAE and Sales teams, the clarification of those ideas for the Product Manager, and assistance to the initiator with respect to Engineering Assistance Requests and Product Development Proposals. The goal is to help the product line understand the rate of success as new product ideas are proposed, and new products are released to the market.
? Identify product adjacencies and new technologies in which the product line can invest. This is to supplement the product development strategy to move us into new product markets when appropriate.
4. Identify merger/acquisition targets in alignment with corporate and BU strategy
? Define new target markets, research customer needs, and competitive capabilities.
? Identify and understand key competition in terms of product and technology capabilities.
? Explain how we can provide a competitive or superior value proposition to our customers. This includes an in-depth understanding of the underlying products and technologies of the target company. A clear value proposition will need to be delivered to Management and the product team. The acquisition can allow us to expand a portfolio, improve an underlying technology or move into an entirely new market.
5. Interact with counterparts in other BU’s to identify:
? New marketing avenues or channels where offering an entire solution can benefit both BUs
? New products utilizing expertise from 2 or more BUs that add value to the customer (e.g. performance, cost, etc)
? New customers that are unique to a BU where multiple technologies can be leveraged
任职资格:
1. >10 years experience working in the semiconductor industry to the product & application systems level
2. Experience mapping markets and segments including TAM/SAM/CAGR evaluation by multiple means
3. Comfortable discussing engineering concepts/principles with customer design engineers in the field and internal FAEs
4. Must have excellent verbal, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and represent LF
5. Understanding of industry channel practices and dynamics
6. Track record of relationship with sales leaders/teams to drive execution of product line strategy
7. Proven ability to work in a matrix organization and cross-functional team-based environment
