职位描述：
1. New Product Development Support: Interface closely with global engineering and quality functions on bringing new design concepts to a production level.
- Selecting ideal fit source by category/commodity and technology
- Expeditiously securing quotations and maintaining strong linkage of quotes to revision levels
- Leading supplier selection sourcing council meeting
- Maintaining components tracker with selected supplier quote and project timing plan
- Initiate Award Letter on specific projects/products until sign-off and documented.
- Coordinating PAF review between Littelfuse and external source.
- Securing sample, services and prototype support as required by engineering team
- Generating pilot production orders in alignment with launch timing needs
- Initiating initial production level support orders in support of design releases to manufacturing
- Conducting hand-off guidance to Operations Buyers on new design transitions to manufacturing
2. Quote management: Securing quotes from qualified suppliers and doing so with a focus on pricing in alignment with project cost needs.
- Securing and reviewing quotes from at least two (preferably 3) strategic suppliers in alignment with Category Strategy department metrics - they are cost, quality improvement and supplier management goals
- Maintaining quotes in a shared team accessible database and a project cover spreadsheet(Supplier analysis and selection proposal template and components tracker)
- Position is responsible for entering and maintaining GCF and SAP data integrity within purchasing module
3. Supplier Management: Structured leadership of the supplier base is critical to the role of a Strategic Buyer.
- Conducts monthly reviews with suppliers on their OTD, Quality, Cost and DFM support
- Send monthly supplier report cards with key metric grades
- Insure supplier contracts, pricing agreements, signed quality manuals, etc. are in place
- Audit new suppliers in concert with engineering and quality and generate audit reviews
4. Order Management: Strategic Buyers must anticipate and offset issues in responsiveness by suppliers by maintaining the entire and proactive order management process.
- Pro-active engagement in on-time delivery by multiple methods on order status.
- Securing PPAPs, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, etc. documents and certification in addition to parts.
- Placing orders with AVL suppliers but with a preference to those used by Advanced Engineering.
- Insuring Asset Tags are applied to all purchased tools and ownership documents are secured.
5. Other duties and responsibilities as appropriate to achieving the PCP mission.
- Generating a weekly activities report and submitting it to the Sourcing Manager.
- Identifying and communicating in a spreadsheet all opportunities for future cost reduction and DPO improvement.
- Placing orders that will have the greatest potential to reduce overall lead time in the future.
6. Implement/Execute Category Strategy.

1. Associate or Bachelor's degree required;
2. 2 -4 years in purchasing or sourcing, with strong negotiation skills, especially on molding plastic and non-ferrous metal categories;
3. Knowledge of MRP systems (preferably SAP) and very proficient in Microsoft office;
4. Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented and proactive attitude;
5. Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing; to use prioritize; and to show attention to detail;
6. Be a self starter;
