JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE Operations Manager

BUSINESS UNIT Corporate Solutions – Project & Development Services

REPORTING TO Ops Director of PDS China

DIRECT REPORT POSITIONS N/A

POSITION GOALS Provide operational oversight for PDS projects, ensuring all meet established risk, technical and procedural objectives/standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Governance of operational policies, procedures and practices, and implementation
? Be accountable for PDS procedures/system is in place and being used in assigned cities
? Responsible for ensuring that PDS teams have access to operational tools and facilities, accountable for project setup and provide support accordingly
? As a key member of the China OPS team, actively contribute feedback and suggest improvements on all aspects of PDS’ Operational policies, procedures and practices
Project review and risk management
? Be accountable and conduct project reviews/audits for selected projects - focusing on risk assessment (risks to JLL and Client) and compliance to JLL processes and procedures
? Provide solutions to key risks and issues identified (above 56), report to China management on key risks/issues and drive implementation of any required rectification
? Support China Ops by carrying out monthly risk review and regular project audits
? Be responsible to ensure risk are up to date, mitigation plan in place, and working in assigned cities
? Actively participate or lead risk workshops for clients/JLL
Implement, assist conducting/conduct of training programs
? Contribute/present training programs and be responsible to drive the implementation in selected cities
? Identify and give any one on one training
? Contribute to the ongoing refinement of China training programs
? Provide training support when required
? Provide training to new starters
? Mentor new starters in Operations system
? Training on Risk reporting (based on PDS training materials)
Drive profitability in delivery
? Be accountable to ensure profitability tracking on the project level in selected cities, is fully complaint ,contribute to ongoing refinement of tracking system
? Be accountable for project resourcing and/or over servicing and profitability and identify shortfalls.
? Work with location managers/Ops director to take actions/report accordingly

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS Education /Work Experience Requirement
? Relevant education background, major in construction/engineering background is referred
? At least 8 years’ experience in consulting, at least 4 years’ experience as project manager, operations management experience is a plus
? Good knowledge of China safety regulations and laws
? Be able to communicate with safety management
? Prefer to have work experience with MNCs in similar role/level
? Ability to mentor and train staff, make up training materials, hold and arrange the training
Technical and Administrative Skills
? Strong technical background in construction or safety
? Skills for MS Project, Excel, Word
