Job Description
Develops, implements and coordinates product assurance program to
prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products
This is an exciting opportunity for a leader with quality management
experience to be a part of a new business within Flex that focuses on
construction and building materials. The Quality Management Lead is
responsible for development, coordination and implementation of a
product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or
existing products. We are seeking a flexible and innovative leader that
can operate in a "start up" mode within one of the largest
Sketch-to-Scale solutions providers in the world. This position reports
to the Vice President, Sourcing.
We expect the individual to have a bachelor's degree in Engineering (or
related) from a recognized institution with at least 8 years of
experience developing, implementing and maintaining quality systems or
a related area. Candidates should have sufficient business language
competency in both Mandarin and English. Prior building materials,
construction or related experience is ideal but not required.
Principle accountabilities include:
1. Develop and continuously improve a product assurance program that is
appropriate for the size of business and market
2. Advises management team on business situations, production
capabilities, manufacturing trends and economic trends that could
impact the successful design and development of new products
3. Collaborates across management to establish quality policies and
processes
4. Respond to customer request for information on technical/quality
issues and improvement initiatives
5. Collects and analyzes information from material vendors to assess
capacity of suppliers to meet orders and Flex vendor quality standards
6. Manage the regional quality management team as it grows
