GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The TRISTAR IPPM will have the responsibility to identifying and follow up the issues related to the protection of Luxottica family Brands within TRISTAR reporting to the IPP Greater China Manager (dotted) and to TRISTAR AP Director (solid).
He/she has to develop the IP strategy to protect internally and along the supply chain the brands equity in cooperation with the AP Team.
The ideal candidate has the capability to work in an international complex organization as part of a spread and multicultural Team building up relationship with the local Authorities dealing in the IP environment.
An excellent investigative capability will be mandatory in order to understand violations and conduct successful complex investigations.
He/she has to have a deep understanding of the internal/external production processes to focus the actions to protect the IP assets.
Good knowledge of internet and computer skills as well as good relationship skills will be required.
All the activities performed will have to be managed within the boundaries of local legislation.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Identify and monitor relevant threats to the Luxottica Know-how within Tristar and the supply chain
?Provides to the management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing the activity
?Develop the IP Protection strategy in Tristar also defining the best approach to prevent and solve brands/patents violations issues through:
oFollow up the cases submitted by the internal business partners and ensure timely reporting of threat information to the local Business Team and to the Group IPP Manager
oLiaise with local IP Authorities
oInterfaces with the IP Protection Manager Greater China to build up investigations based on internal alerts and threats
oAudit the external suppliers with “live” survey
oEstablish relationship with Customs Offices assuring the verification/documentation process
oProvide the Group IPP/AP Manager-TRISTAR AP Director with the intelligence to develop internal/external investigations
oOrganize regular IPP culture training sessions for the external suppliers
oEnsures compliance with regulations (FCPA, local anti-corruption laws, Code of Ethic) performing controls on the suppliers
oDefines, scoping, resources and coordinates the investigation sending regular updates to the Group IPP Manager/TRISTAR AP Director
oAttends key Management meetings
oExploring new trends/solutions for the internal IPP arena monitoring the law changes
oAttend IP related meetings/conferences within the region to acquire the best practices
oInterfaces with other multinationals IP Departments in the Region
oDevelops, implements and controls intangibles assets protection systems both through IT technologies and processes/approaches
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Skills/Qualifications:
Have a minimum of 6 years working experience.
Corporate Security and Investigative/Police background.
knowledge of IP principles, legislation and Global IP challenges, criticalities and opportunities is mandatory for the position.
Possess and demonstrate excellent oral and written command of English
Demonstrate excellent time-management and prioritization skills
Demonstrate ability to manage people, IP suppliers and budgeting processes
Ability to work both as a team member and as sole skilled professional
Knowledge of computer office tools such as Word, Excel and Outlook
IT Security technologies understanding
