Working under the leadership of the ESC (Ethical Supply Chain) Senior Manager and support the USA Headquarter legal and compliance team, this position is responsible for developing and executing Deckers ESC program, including ESC audits and remediation, FFC system management, T2 suppliers management, especially implementing Environmental Criteria, managing the environmental projects and energy projects for the Deckers Supply Chain.
1. Support ESC team conducting ESC audits and develop corrective action plans for T1 suppliers, to ensure compliance with the ESC Code of Conduct. Similarly, supervise the independent ESC status in major T2 suppliers. As necessary, work with authorized third party and keep regular follow-up on related independent external audits reports in selected suppliers, as well as T2 suppliers used in specified projects such as Disney collaborations.
2.Assist ESC senior manager on providing technical support of environmental health and safety solutions on ESC remediation in specific factories. Lead and execute environmental projects in major suppliers. Carry out special projects, as designated by ESC senior manager, which utilize areas of technical expertise.
3.Manage FFC system, including provides FFC supports to suppliers/agents/third parties, implement FFC system in daily ESC activities (including but not limited to: audits scheduling, reporting, CAP tracking, collaboration, etc.).
4.EHS marketing, including: provide internal EHS training, work with U.S. compliance team on ESC website designing and ESC introduction video making.
5. Assist business partners’ remediation and capability building by providing workshops/trainings on their needs, advising on options, negotiating timeframes, sharing experiences and best practices and helping management locate the necessary expertise, materials, etc. Ensure all relevant sourcing staffs and department heads are fully briefed in the ESC Code of Conduct principles and methods of implementation.
6.Keep updated on all labor and HSE legislation within the designated country or countries and report important updates to ESC Senior manager
