职位描述：
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for production support, process control and improvement, material improvement and product minor optimization for optical cable making manufacturing.
Recommend/execute process improvements for quality, yield and cost improvement
Documentation & Training of improvements and process understanding to Operations/Maintenance for sustainability
Support Manufacturing objectives with problem solving; applying the fundamentals understanding to determine root cause of problems
Focus on building knowledge of the existing process and capabilities
Individual contributor on projects, along with management of PEx improvement projects
Engineering position to support and improve existing cable making process
Design process experiments to determine and optimize important process variables and product parameters
Implement new product and material introduction, new production line / equipment prove-in
Evaluate and qualify new vendors; author, review and update raw material specifications. Act as the technical prime for any material failure in the plant, or on any vendor quality audits.
Identify and implement product cost reductions, scrap reductions, and design improvements
Support on LEAN manufacturing promotion
Support the new material qualificationWe are looking for individuals with strong technical curiosity and who are able to deliver creative solutions to technical challenges. Applicants should have ability to work in a team based environment and be able to participate as an individual contributor to improve manufacturing performance and reduce cost.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above
Major in mechanical, electrical, or materials engineering.

Required Skills
Minimum 3 years process engineer experience in manufacturing plant.
Familiar with data analysis tools such as Minitab, SPC
Strong problem solving abilities and skills
Strong technical curiosity and be able to work on multi-tasks
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across the organization
Good written and oral English
Familiar with project management processes

Desired Skills
Familiar with process/quality/cost control and improvement tools such as DMAIC, Six Sigma, KT, SPC, DOE, etc.
Have knowledge of cable industry processes & methods.
Knowledge on the control plan and FMEA
