Role accountabilities:
Brand Planning
? Proactively seek new opportunities for the UHT as inputs into the long-term strategic plans.
? Develop brand plans in line with the China strategic plans and objectives.
? Develop annual budgets / targets for market shares, brand awareness, volumes, revenue and marketing expenditure for the brand.
Brand Management
? Implement the brand plans within budget and on time, coordinating the resources of the organisation and partners so to achieve approved brand objectives.
? Monitor, review scorecard performance and amend marketing plans and activities in light of changes in the external and internal environment and competitor activity.
Brand and Market Communications
? Commission market research in line with the Best Practice Marketing Research Grid and planned marketing activity.
? Maintain a close working relationship with the sales team, trade marketing and customers. Attend customer presentations where a marketing presence may improve outcomes.
? Instigate, develop and manage effective working relationships with business partners, internal and external, to achieve the brand objectives.
? Monitor and review the cost effectiveness and efficiency of advertising , media, and promotional activities, outside suppliers and agencies (e.g. advertising and research).
Sales and Operations Planning
? Provide market intelligence for Sales plan creation
Product Innovation
? Proactively seek new opportunities for the China as inputs into long-term strategic plans.
? Lead or participate in cross-functional teams for new product development projects.
Market Knowledge
? Develop and maintain a full understanding and complete knowledge of dairy-based products and the market environment in which they compete.
Best Practice
? Ensure the utilisation of Best Practice marketing processes and principles, following the Fonterra way for marketing and product innovation.
Qualification and experience:
? Tertiary Degree in Marketing, Commerce or related discipline.
? Minimum 5 years experience in FMCG Consumer Marketing function with an International organization.
? Brand Management/new product launch.
? Bilingual – English and Mandarin. Fluent speaker of English.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical thinking, strong sense of urgency, good leadership ability.
? Balance btw. innovation/comm. and BTL experience.
