Position Overview:
This position is responsible for supplier management, materials and services cost reductions, and directing sourcing decisions to planning, and purchasing and managing a timely flow of quality goods and services to support customer and plant requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Establish and direct a material purchasing management system that supports and drives continuous improvement.
2. Optimize inventory and sourcing strategies to provide the best cost, delivery, and quality.
3. Administer an effective materials cost improvement program.
4. Establish and direct purchasing policies and procedures.
5. Understand and direct the successful implementation of Materials Management and Purchasing techniques, processes and strategies, for existing manufacturing, Customer Order Engineered variation, and New Product Development environments.
6. Introduce new material management techniques beneficial to the operation and direct their successful implementation.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution is required.
2. Minimum 5 years supply chain experience in manufacture environment.
3. Minimum 1 year managerial experience.

Position Criteria:
1. Sound working knowledge of purchasing, materials management principles and just-in-time techniques, including knowledge of accounting, ERP systems and manufacturing.
2. Excellent computer skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
3. Ability to operate an environment which requires a fine balance between fulfilling materials required by manufacturing and responsible inventory investment.
4. Ability to develop responsible vendors who respond to just-in-times philosophies, yet continually offer improved cosset benefits.
5. Consistent support of manufacturing flow and plant customer service objectives through material availability.
6. Provide quality materials, which enhance product, line quality image and meet design integrity standards.
7. Structure purchasing organization to meet varied and ever changing demands.
8. Ability to expound to and direct materials organization to be aware of their tasks and responsibilities to make the maximum contribution to the plant objectives.
9. Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors of choice to provide highest quality, cost effective materials.
10. Ability to instill a sense of urgency in both the materials staff and in outside vendors that leads to continuous quality and cycle time improvement. 举报 分享
