Role Summary:

Within this leadership position, HPS manager will report to the General Manager and work as the main site driver to improve operational productivity through lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

·Develop Harman Production System by lean concept and plan transformation for effieciency improvement

·Be engaged in transformation projects, leading kaizen events driving rapid experimentation and applying the scientific method, and daily continuous improvement.

·Coach process design approach, problem solving techniques, and work to share improvements horizontally across processes

·Cyclic work will include auditing processes and systems to sustain and continually improve upon performance

·Work with senior management to plan and execute kaizen workshops including training and application of specific lean tools.

·Participate in team meetings and lead candid discussion in the application of the following and be the hands-on site expert on:

Value Stream Mapping; Error-proofing; Material Delivery; Cell Design; Operator Balance; Kanban Systems; Quick Changeover; Level Scheduling; Standard Work; 5S&Visual Management; Scientific Method; Jidoka; Yokoten; A-3; DMAIC.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

·BS Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or Technical Degree with appropriate manufacturing/industrial training.

·5 to 10 years of hands-on, manufacturing operational experience.

·3 to 5 years of hands-on lean manufacturing experience

·Green Belt certification (Black Belt is a plus)

·English skills to lead cross-functional teams.

·Organizational skills to accurately extract, interpret, and display data.

· Presentation skills to concisely update management on key initiatives and results.

·Time study experience.

· Value Stream Mapping experience

·Demonstrate strong material and informational flow transformation step knowledge.

·Understanding to develop metrics to measure performance

·Natural ability to lead team members through problem solving and rapidly implement solutions.
