DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·Developing existing suppliers with focus on Powder Metal, Machined Forgings and Fine Stamping commodities to deliver best of quality on time through APQP process by:

- conduct external audits to review supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems

- assist suppliers work towards achievement of the TS16949 standard by adequate training and guidance

- ensure that all necessary documentation is maintained in accordance to HOERBIGER requirements

- monitor and manage program timing, tooling lead times and part approval by PPAP procedure

·Provides analyzing & problem solving support in case of nonconformities in part quality at supplier's works and verify accuracy for implementation of defined corrective actions

·Act as technical liaison in any supplier quality related issues to HOERBIGER organisation and HOERBIGER customers

·To work with suppliers and HOERBIGER personnel on targeted continuous improvement and value engineering/cost saving programs

·Support the selection and implementation of new suppliers according to the Purchasing strategy

·Assist Purchasing organization in supplier management using vendor/quality-rating systems



EDUCATIONAL & TRAINING LEVEL:

- Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering or related field

- Strong knowledge of APQP/PPAP/FMEA/SPC/MSA/ procedures, ISO/TS 16949 requirements & OEM Standards for automotive business

- Preferable Six Sigma green belt and/or Lead auditor qualified



KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS LEVEL:

- At least five years of automotive work experience

- Familiar with quality concepts, quality tools and methodologies common in the automotive industry

- Strong problem-solving, decision making and analytical skills, Team player

- Written and verbal communication in English also preferable for German language

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic SAP knowledge

- Prepared to travel as required
