• Contributes to the development of tooling and Equipment concepts and tooling and Equipment definitions. Researches tool designs to create and revise tool usage instructions. Gathers information to support the development of machines, tools and Equipment. Collects and assists in the development of data for engineering design disposition on tool discrepancies. Gathers data and produces models/sketches in support of multi-functional product design reviews. Works under general supervision. Investigates, develops and verifies accuracy of tooling concepts and tooling definitions. Prepares tool design or fabrication off load packages. Provides engineering design disposition on tool discrepancies to identify solutions. Develops, documents and maintains complex tool inspection and maintenance requirements. Participates in multi-functional product design reviews to support manufacturing/tooling plan. Works under general direction.
• Analytical Skills
• Basic - Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources at the work group level.;
• Engineering Analysis
• Basic - General knowledge of engineering analysis (e.g. mechanical, electrical, avionics, design, circuit, systems, stress, structural, durability
• Materials & Processing
• Basic - Universal knowledge of material processing for metals (e.g., welding forging, heat treat, machining, forming), polymers and composites, sealants and finishes processing (e.g., plating, painting, surface preparation, fay surface sealing, fillet sealing), and ceramic (e.g., high temperature processing, machining) and electronic materials (e.g., soldering, printed circuit board cleaning, conformal coating).
• Have good experience in 2D/3D construction (e.g. Solid Works, AutoCAD, Inventor)
• Can work independent and under pressure
