General Position Description /职位概述

To play an integral role in the development of the business, driving change to increase overall performance.
To ensure the effective day to day management of the Fabrication area whilst maintaining quality of product and driving Health & Safety , Cost Cutting and Lean Improvements.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks /主要职责

? Responsibility for Health and Safety within the Area
? Driving team to meet on time delivery demands for both internal and external customers
? Planning and introduction of Lean Management and activities
? All aspects of People Management including, absence management, allocation of overtime, disciplinary and grievance, time and attendance system.
? Leading and motivating the team to succeed.
? Recruitment and retention of Team Members
? Responsible for department skills matrix and cross training where applicable.
? Management of consumables, monitoring/replenishment
? Managing the day to day workload of the Fabrication Shop area to ensure that the production schedule is achieved and quality is built into the process, whilst meeting internal and external customer requirements.
? Driving Health, Safety & Environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance to relevant legislation and Terex Safety Roadmaps.
? Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement which utilize lean techniques, ensuring new projects are identified and implemented.
? Create a culture of empowerment
? Manage the Introduction of NPD Products into the area, supporting cross functional teams where necessary
? Work Cross functionally, to create and implement Total Preventative Maintenance Program within area of responsibility
? Understand expenditure and the impact this has on departmental budget, with the aim of reducing cost.
? Accountable for WIP accuracy within department including inventory control & system accuracy.
? Anything else as designated as appropriate to the role

Skills, Experience and Qualifications /职位要求

? Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering field.
? Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in a fabrication, welding and/or painting environment. Experience in a similar industry is preferred.
? Possess a strong understanding, firm belief and ability to perform within the principles of Toyota Production System, Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.
? Ability to quickly learn new applications and new technologies.
? Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in teams.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English.
? Ability to take a lead role in trouble-shooting and performing root cause analysis to solve problems and implement countermeasures.

? Flexible, with strong teamwork orientation
