Requirement: sales experience with crushing equipment, breaker, screening equipment, mining equipment or other construction equipment.
General Position Description
The Sales Manager will drive sales of Powerscreen equipment and some related brands, in the Aggregate Processing market or Construction and Demolishing (C&D) market. Key responsibilities will include the development of a sales plan from a startup position, analysis of selling directly and the potential for dealer appointments, feedback on aftersales support requirements, and input on specific product requirements for the region. The incumbent should feel part of the global Powerscreen team, and be motivated to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure the business needs in China are met, and can quickly be successful.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
? Meet targets for sales and market share in terms of Crushing and Screening plant and parts for the geography.
? New business development including sales and marketing strategies for the geography.
? Determine and implement required routes to market including direct sales as well as potential distributor identification, appointment and development.
? Communicate customers and distributors on the features and benefits of equipment.
? Develop new end user sales leads for Powerscreen and access existing crushing and screening equipment customers.
? Establish sales forecasts and secure sales orders according to goals.
? Control expenses in line with agreed budget.
? Ensure that customers have access to parts personnel, field service and other Terex team members as necessary.
? Demonstrate proper techniques of prospecting sales leads, telemarketing, wholesale and rental closing techniques, and quotation and specification writing.
? Receive feedback on existing products and services, as well as changes, enhancements and new product opportunities.
? Maintain overall management of the sales process to the end user.
? Participate in key industry associations.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
? A Bachelor degree in business or engineering discipline would be desirable.
? Mandarin speaker with business proficient English capability, both written and spoken.
? 3-10 years of working experience with a proven track record in the selling of construction equipment, crushing and screening equipment and relevant components in the Quarry, Mining or Sand and Gravel markets or other construction or capital equipment markets.
? Proven sales growth record.
? Experience of managing a diverse customer base.
? Candidates must have a valid driving licence and passport.
? Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills.
? Proactive in New Business Development and the ability to gain new customers.
? Willing to accept change, manage priorities, and provide the necessary and timely commitments to ensure company success.
? Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple sources of data and prioritise issues towards a singular goal.
? Self-starter and possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must possess the ability and commitment to teamwork across a functional environment.
? Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with internal and external partners.
? Proactive thinking and ability to lead through initiative.
? Familiarity with, ability to, and willingness to, work safely on-site in industrial crushing and screening settings, on and around crushing and screening equipment.
? Demonstrates an understanding and support of company policies and procedures.
Estimated Travel
? The role will entail extensive travel throughout China– candidates must be willing to travel. Occasional International travel is required.
