Entity: Bobst (Shanghai) Ltd
Location: Shanghai or Guangdong
Position Title: Sales Manager- South China and Northeast China
Position Summary
· To market and sell the BU web-fed products (excl. Metalizer) of the Bobst Group for the flexible packaging industry in south China and northeast China.
Main Responsibilities
l Visit existing and potential customers in the Territory, and maximize number of contacts with them through telephone, advertising, etc., in order to generate serious projects for the PL in the territory, and turn as many as possible out of them into orders.
l Particular importance will be given to targeting the right customers, and organizing travel schedules in consequence. Goal is not to make as many quotations as possible, but to identify which customers have the purchasing power and/or need for high end machines, for technical reasons.
l In charge of actually negotiating Sales Contracts, with delegation of the upper manager, or together with a Product Specialist.
l Be the Territory Link with Sales Management of the PL in Europe.
l With the help of Sales administration, organize availability of sales brochures and Sales tools in Chinese.
l Cooperate with local Service Management, to ensure proper understanding of contract terms and successful installations, in order to maximize customer’s satisfaction and get repeat orders.
l Propose sales promotional activities, Open Houses, Shows, Seminars for the Product Line in the territory, and organizing them with the support of local Sales Administration.
l Propose an advertisement policy for the Product, the actual implementation being done by the local Sales Administration.
l Collect brochures, data, about competition and their activities in the territory, including orders they take, and report the related information to upper management . Monitor market share of Product in the territory, and prepare related documents.
l Be alert about industry needs, look out for new trends influencing demand for the product, and liaise with upper Management about it.
Critical Skills and Personal Attributes
Functional skills:
· Good at profitable sales of capital equipments with minimum 5 year’s related experience
· Technical background perferred
Personal skills:
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Good command of English (Cantonese is must if based at Guangdong)
· Initiative, self-motivated, dedicated and integrity
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Experience in flexible packaging or related industry
