General Position Description

·The focus of this role will be to develop and support a new manufacturing / assembly operation.

·This position will be responsible for the successful implementation of the production system in Changzhou, followed by the daily support and continuous improvement of the system.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

·Lead projects through the development and execution of project plans; coordinate and provide direction to project team members.

·Support the production team to resolve problems and improve operations.

·Develop processes to meet safety, quality, and delivery and cost targets.

·Develop, maintain and improve Standard Work. Provide training to ensure team members can consistently follow Standard Work.

·Interface and coordinate project activities with pertinent business functions.

·Provide support to product improvements and new product development.

·Coordinate implementation of engineering design changes into production.

·Support the Environmental Health and Safety team to ensure the workplace is safe and 100% compliant with laws and regulations.

·Provide technical support for validation of the manufacturing system and quality initiatives.

·Support ISO9001/ISO14000 etc implementation.

·Other duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering field.

Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English.

·Minimum 3-5 years of engineering experience in a fabrication and/or assembly environment. Experience in a similar industry is preferred.

·Experience with electrical systems.

·Possess a strong understanding, firm belief and ability to perform within the principles of Toyota Production System, Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.

·Ability to quickly learn new applications and new technologies.

·Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in teams.

·Ability to take a lead role in trouble-shooting and performing root cause analysis to solve problems and implement countermeasures.

·Proficient with CAD programs, ability to quickly learn SolidWorks.

·Ability to work well under compressed time constraints and limited direction.

·Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time.

·Flexibility to travel, on short notice as necessary.

·Experience in Lean manufacturing system, 6 sigma or IE etc will be perfect.
