负责盒子和托盘事业部的冲压，激光切割，阳极氧化等工序外协件的采购。

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Plan and procure assigned material and outside service requirements to drive lowest possible cost and inventory reduction commitments. The Buyer plays a vital role in delivering quality on-time product to our customers using MRP systems. Ensure that product is available to meet customer requirements while minimizing investments, meeting overall specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Place and administer all purchase orders for assigned materials and outside services.

· Total cost of ownership to be considered when processing all orders.

· Help achieve increased inventory turns, by working with suppliers through consignment, stocking and other programs.

· Ensure compliance with negotiated contracts.

· Facilitate customer service levels above 98%.

· Maintain database and submit performance reports to suppliers.

· Provide follow-up and recovery plans for out-of-stock, past due and excess items.

· Submit DMR (Defective Material Report) and work details for recovery with suppliers.

· Recommend process improvements.

· Works with Accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies.

OCCASIONAL DUTIES:

· Other duties as required.

· May serve as backup to Buyer/Planner and Purchasing Agent.

· Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. Secondary education preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

· 3-5 years of manufacturing planning, inventory management and purchasing experience.

· C.P.M and/or CPIM certification a plus.

· Strong analytical skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

· Must be proactive and action oriented with strong problem solving skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.

· Knowledge and use of MRP system.

· Good negotiating skills.

· Must have strong communication skills, works with all departments.

· Ability to work independently.
