该岗位要求机械类工科毕业,有固定资产或MRO采购经验2年以上,可用英语进行基本沟通,有SAP经验者优先
I. POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is designed to support all purchasing activities related to fixed assets and other Indirect material, including services required for day to day activities. The qualified candidate will be responsible to identify the suitable supplier and the right equipment to purchase, negotiate the right price and work with manufacturing and AGCO equipment engineering to define the right specification before supplier and equipment selection.
Location: This location will be in Changzhou, AGCO main manufacturing site for China Operations
II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:
● The qualified candidate is expected to drive and support all equipment and manufacturing services purchasing for AGCO China Operations
● Service contracts support for manufacturing related activities.
● Cost evaluation of different projects involving fixed asset purchasing
● Supply base assessment for equipment manufacturers in China
● Understanding of tractor manufacturing equipment and application
● Recommend and assist for any request for supplier or equipment identification for AGCO China
● Manage all procurement activities including timing and installation of equipment and other services
● Provide cost information related to equipment refurbishment and installation including labor cost and hours
● Support other departments in setting program budgets and equipment selection
III. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
? The qualified person should have minimum of 3-5 years experience buying manufacturing equipment for heavy equipment, automotive, agricultural or construction equipment manufacturing companies.
? The person should have a good understanding of shop floor equipment maintenance and specification
? Required experience in machining centers, assembly equipment, hoists specifications, motors type and application, jigs design and specification/materials fixtures and other tools required to run automotive oriented manufacturing operations.
? The qualified individual should have a legal understand of contact content, process and format.
? Understanding basic English and having worked for foreign or JV companies could be a plus.
? The person should be self driven individual with interpersonal skills capacity to work with cross functional teams and handle major projects from start to finish.
IV. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
The qualified individual should understand the pricing of most equipment used in manufacturing of automotive and agricultural. He/she should understand and possess enough information about China supply base for such equipment as folk lift, hoists, warehouse equipment, automatic assembly equipment, paint equipment and other equipment needed for automotive manufacturing environment. The individual is expected to understand overall business scope of the company and the impact her-his role can have on new product launch, investment timing, company programs and implementation.
V. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
The position is a buyer position with a 3 members for fixed asset and indirect materials group. The buyer will have responsibility of managing the budget developed in conjunction with all the departments of the company and will help them find the right equipment, right price with the right delivery terms. Understanding of cross functional team work process is an important piece of the job to be performed and the individual should make sure that all the departments meet their budgets related to fixed assets purchasing the candidate is supposed to buy and manage.
VI. PROBLEM SOLVING:
The qualified individual will have to be results oriented and will have advanced project management skills and tools in order to manage all the projects in a timely manner. Budgeting, program management, cost analysis, labor cost and China labor laws are some of the required tools the individual will have to possess in order to perform the job according to company expectation.
VII. NATURE OF IMPACT
The qualified candidate will have understanding of overall company product development schedule from sales, marketing, engineering, purchasing and manufacturing. The impact of this position on overall program is extremely critical due to the fact that in order to launch a new product, the company has to invest in new equipment and that equipment has to be purchased on time in order to make the parts and assemble the product required for launch date. Understanding of equipment cost and knowing supply base for particular equipment and cost will save company money and time.
VIII. AREA OF IMPACT:
The position has direct impact to manufacturing, purchasing, sales and finance. Failure to perform the job right in this position will have huge negative impact on overall program of the company which requires investment and tight product launch timing. The position will also have huge impact on financial budgeting if the person holding this position is able to buy the equipment at market, below market or above market price.
IX. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
The qualified individual will be performing service type activities by supporting all the departments which are involved in buying fixed assets or performing manufacturing service type activities. The person should have good interpersonal skills with good listen and keeping commitment/promises in order to meet internal customer expectations. Understanding other’s department schedule and priorities will be critical in order to meet customer requirements. The right candidate will have to possess excellent negotiation skills and understanding of how to deal with different suppliers at different level of negotiation process.
X. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
? The qualified candidate should have 3-5 years experience with management responsibilities in one or more of the following areas:
o Manufacturing plant maintenance
o Fixed assets purchasing including manufacturing services purchasing
o Manufacturing Engineering and process
o Major manufacturing project management including buying equipment
o Equipment purchasing and installation of major automotive manufacturing operations
o Excellent oral and written communication is a must due to contact negotiation and preparation requirement
o Technical/engineering background is must in order to understand drawings and technical discussion
o Understanding of basic English/technical is required (just reading technical specification and understanding)
? Languages: Chinese and English
