I. POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for supplier qualification and part qualification processes in China for AGCO China Operations and global AGCO locations in terms of Metal Fabs and Stamping parts. Co-ordinates assigned commodities to ensure that AGCO worldwide locations have access to quality and certification information.
The SQE Supervisor reports into the Supplier Quality Manager.



II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY: KEY MEASUREMENT:

? Manage and coordinate a Team of 5 SQE
? Manage SQE to complete supplier development and approval process ? Supplier audit and development results
? Manage SQE to complete part qualification process based on AGCO requirement ? Achievement of saving, RFT, and Part PPM
? Mentor and coach SQE on all functional requirement ? Team skill matrix and development plan
? Establish strong relationship and buy in from factory and corporate SQE organization ? Feedback and recognition of the team
? Foster strong supplier relationship ? Feedback and supplier performance
? Support management reporting requirement ? Timely and accurate report and update
? Other activities related to China Sourcing ? To be defined when assigned


III. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9000, QS9000, TS16949, etc…
Understanding of part qualification procedures such as Initial Supplier Sampling, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), supplier audits and supplier corrective actions issue resolution.
Diverse understanding/knowledge of multiple manufacturing processes and techniques for metal fabrication and related.

IV. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
Good knowledge of manufacturing operations in the agricultural, automotive, construction equipment industry, and the impact of supplier quality on production and final product quality.











V. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

This position requires strong leadership behavior to lead not only the team, but the initiative of China sourcing. This position will have the responsibility to supervise up to 5 Supplier Quality Engineers, in execution of supplier development, supplier audit and approval, as well a project management function. The position will also need to be able to coach, train and develop younger, less experience staff.

？ Lead product development from SQA point of view and ensure that the product launch is not impacted by supplier issues.
？ Works with the SQE team and proposes defect changes/ideas to improve the supplier process, whilst providing advice to product design for continuous improvements.
？ Takes responsibility to ensure that target dates of his SQE team are achieved for all aspects of new product introduction and localization of existing parts.


VI. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
？ Must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to work with others efficiently and effectively either one-on-one, as a team, or in a group both within AGCO and Supplier.
？ Must possess a positive attitude with self-motivation, be able to communicate effectively with good verbal and written skills and be able to work with little management direction to complete the required tasks.
？ Dedicated to continuous improvement process, with the ability to utilize problem solving skills and techniques to achieve problem resolution. Problem solving skills may include experience with:
- Six Sigma
- Lean manufacturing / Kaizan Events
- Problem Solving Disciplines such as 8D

VII. QUALIFICATIONS
？ Bachelor degree in manufacturing, quality or related engineering field is desired but not essential.
？ 3-5 years of experience in specific field related to (Gear) Machining, Casting and Forging or general metal fabrication processes is required.
？ Ability to read and interpret blueprints applicable to the process and demonstrate effective use of precision measuring tools.
？ Basic knowledge of GD&T is required; advanced knowledge/application preferred.
？ Knowledge of manufacturing and production systems (5’s, continuous improvement, shop floor management)
？ Strong leadership skills of decentralized teams
？ Strong presentation, analytically skills
？ Strong project management experiences
？ Managing and support multi-functional activities across international locations
？ Good oral and written English
？ Strong communication skills
？ Able to travel to suppliers as/and when required.
















VIII. EXPERIENCE :
？ Manufacturing experience and/or quality experience on specific industry within the scope of the research.
？ High level knowledge of or experience with manufacturing processes such as:

- Castings and Forgings
- Machining
- Gear manufacturing
- Priming and Painting


？ Experience of working in different companies/or fields of expertise.
