职位描述
I. POSITION PURPOSE:
The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for leading and supporting China wide Logistics/Supply Chain related projects including the design and implementation of Materials Management and Logistics processes and infrastructures at the AGCO sites. The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible to drive the optimization of costs and capacity utilization while meeting specifications/requirements from Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Parts Service.
This position will interact with numerous functions within the organization and across the regions. The Supply Chain Specialist duties include:
? Developing and Implementing of standards for AGCO´s Materials Management and Logistics landscape and infrastructure environment, tie into global strategies where possible.
? Support the selection and contracting of AGCO´s strategic and local logistics partners.
? Establish and maintain performance metrics (logistics cost and capacity related) within the Materials Management and Logistics performance areas.
? Control and report logistics costs in the region and drive countermeasures if variances occur
? Manage 3PL’s and packaging service provider performance.
? Drive working efficiencies with SAP processes.
? Reduce Materials Management and Logistics areas costs.
II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:
? Successfully designing Materials Management and Logistics processes to achieve lowest cost levels for handling, freight, inventories, infrastructure in conjunction with transportation
? Monitoring of inventory levels with constant improvement of inventory status along with rising of RFT
? Developing and Implementing of AGCO´s process landscape and infrastructure environment within the region
? Improving the supply quality from suppliers to the plants
? Annual cost reduction initiatives
? Maintain and enhance service levels to manufacturing
? Ensuring service quality provided to AGCO
? Perform special projects as required in support of departmental objectives

? %of parts & products allocated to standard supply modes

? Comparison of surface benchmarks per plant
? % damage rate, % of part returned, Supplier Scorecard

III. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
The Supply Chain Specialist is an experienced Supply Chain/Logistics professional with a strong understanding of all Materials Management and Logistics Processes, knowing which levers impact which results. Supply Chain Specialist must be strong in analytics as well as in planning, able to develop and quantify strategies and concepts. Supply Chain Specialist meets expectations for this position as follows:
? Core processes:
o Developing Materials Management and Logistics standard processes which allow low cost material flows to, inside, between and from the plants
o Identification of concept to use synergies and economies of scale between the plants
o Ongoing process to analyze and develop strategies for optimization of all supply channels
o Develop and implement new processes, technologies and infrastructures
? Tools:
o Use of tools for analysis, data mining, statistics, spreadsheet calculation, etc.
o Use of logistics planning tools (e.g. warehouse dimensioning, personal requirement calculation, inventory optimization, etc.)
o Use of e-bidding tools for freight and logistics RFQ´s as required for inbound and outbound freight requirements.
o Use of ERP system (i.e. SAP LES, WMS, PP, MM)
? Negotiation and Contracting:
o Performing RFQ of purchasing supply chain services and logistics MRO
o Preparation and support the establishment of contracts in accordance with standard templates and procedures includes beneficial terms for AGCO (risk migration terms, liability, penalty, etc.)
o Market intelligence in supply chain service provider markets (Warehousing, transportation, logistics materials)
o Negotiations with suppliers
? Plant communication/ Supplier Management:
o Regular interactions/meetings with plants, selective meetings with suppliers
o Establish and use of supply chain / logistics performance metrics
o Knowledge of supplier operations and key cost drivers
? Risk Management:
o Understanding of business drivers that may impact cost/performance/viability of the supplier and 3PL contracts
o Able to assess all risk factors and focuses in on relevant ones
o Detailed risk management analysis
o Risk migration strategies and execution
IV. BUSINES EXPERTISE:
Supply Chain Specialist is expected to have a strong understanding of the specifications/requirements from Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics & Materials, Engineering, Sales, and Parts Service. In terms of the required skill levels Supply Chain Specialist can support, but also proactively challenge all functions/departments in discussions. Supply Chain Specialist is able to make a cost structure model in order to analyze the make-up of alternative logistics processes, technologies, or infrastructures. He has understanding and experience to monitor the supply market to understand new developments and opportunities outside of the current suppliers. Supply Chain Specialist has detailed knowledge of supplier and 3PL processes and leverages this knowledge as input for targeted negotiations with process partners and continuous improvement opportunities.
Technical competencies:
? Understands technical details of logistics equipment (e.g. fork lifts, racking)
? Has knowledge of logistics unit properties (load units, etc).
Cost structure modeling – refers to complete Supply Chain Specialist costs of a service procured:
? Has detailed knowledge of transport costs, inventory carrying costs (financial, waste), handling costs, storage costs and packaging costs for different parts depending on sourcing area, etc.
? Is able to provide information to purchasing for TCO evaluation purposes
? Defines cost reduction potential at supplier and logistics service provider
? Uses knowledge to challenge current providers
Supplier Process Understanding:
? Understands supplier production and logistics processes to evaluate joint actions to improve service quality and lower total costs
? Understands thoroughly logistics service supplier (transport companies, warehousing and value added service providers) cost structures and can challenge them
? Leverages knowledge of processes during negotiations and continuous improvement programs.
Product knowledge:
? Understands how the supply chain activities affect the AGCO products
? Impacts the whole good performance (financial and operational)
V. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
The Supply Chain Specialist will be required to manage, coordinate and implement supply chain strategies across sites and work to influence the functional leaders within the sites.
VI. PROBLEM SOLVING:
Supply Chain Specialist need strong analytical skills to enable a fact-based problem solving approach in dealing with supply chain issues such as: demand fluctuations, capacity problems with transport, warehouses, etc, complexity increase, cost increases, phasing in/phasing out of new/old products, emergency deliveries, support of global sourcing, cross-functional conflicts.

The Supply Chain Specialist impacts the business primarily along the following dimensions:
? Supply performance of products: Supply Chain Specialist supports the establishment and maintenance of a consistent supply network which can meet AGCO’s needs from a capacity, cost, and service level perspective.
? Quality of processes: As part of the supplier selection and development process, the Supply Chain Specialist supports the development of a supply network that provides goods and services with a level of quality consistent of that which AGCO projects into the markets that they operate in.
VIII. AREA OF IMPACT:
The Supply Chain Specialist will impact the following areas/functions:
? Pricing/Marketing: Logistics handling, inventory, and infrastructural costs have a direct impact into product costs. Enabling competitive pricing relative to the competition will allow Pricing and Marketing to position the products in the market where they have a chance to compete within the target segments and enable a profitable margin
? Manufacturing: Consistent/timely supply of parts/goods will help enable an optimized manufacturing process (optimized working capital/inventory levels, minimize shortages and re-work caused by late delivered).
? Sales: Timely supply of whole goods/spare parts to customers will increase customer satisfaction. In addition see above Pricing/Marketing.
IX. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Supply Chain Specialist must be able to function with excellent oral and written skills in their native language and English as a minimum. The focus here is to ensure that a level of competency exists as to enable the communication of fact-based arguments to both internal and external teams as to enable logical recommendations.
X. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
? 5+ years of experience in global supply chain/logistics; preferably in a manufacturing or specialized consultancy environment
? Willing and able to travel
? International experience preferred
? Proficient English language skills (written and spoken) are a pre-requisite;
? Strong leadership skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business and in a cross functional organization
? Proven project management skills and experience in working across functions, multiple sites and cultures
? Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
? Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; MS Project experience is beneficial, but not required
? Proven track record to identify and deliver significant cost reduction
? Working knowledge of supply chain modeling, simulation, and software systems
? Experience with ERP systems, SAP is a benefit
? University degree required; additional benefits with academic training in business, economics and/or engineering
