I. POSITION PURPOSE:

Supports Team Leaders, Manager and Production in coordinating, assigning and directing work assignments within the Production Department in Changzhou. Works with other functional areas to communicate and / or resolve product, process, quality and material availability issues.
Champion improvement activity for area of responsibility.

II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:
? Assure product, process, and system quality requirements are determined, planned for and achieved during new product development, launch, or at design or process change. Utilizes Change Management System for all product or process changes
? Problems investigated, defined, analyzed and resolved effectively and responsively
? Product and process quality assured and continuously improved; records maintained
? Respond to requests in expedient and professional manner
? Company policy and procedures followed

III. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:

? BS Degree in related field. MS Degree preferred (can be but not a must).
? Above average communication and interpersonal relations skills.
? Above average organizational skills.
? Above average PC Skills: Operating Systems (Windows 95/98/NT/XP), MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Database (Access, dBase), etc.
? Quality Engineer Certification preferred.



IV. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:

? 5+ years of hand-on Quality Engineering experience in industry
? Experience with:

? Quality management of industrial environment
? Continuous Improvement
? Lean Manufacturing
? TS 16949
? Manufacturing principles and methods
? Manufacturing processes: FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, Process Flow, Corrective Action Process, etc.
? Problem Solving Methodologies (AIM, 5-Why, etc.)
All related to TS 16949 or QS 9000, the quality Manager must have the following knowledge to support quality
[FMEA] Failure Mode and effects Analysis, the knowledge needs to evaluate product related quality
[APQP] Advanced Product Quality Planning, the knowledge need to assess and offer counter measures to product quality. Originally it is for product development
[PPAP] Production Part Approval Process] the knowledge needs to manage supplier quality, to assess incoming production parts etc...[MSA] Measure System Analysis, the knowledge needs to verify the functionality, quality of the products, components, or parts
