Responsibilities:

Administration of all procurement activities

• Develop procurement process in cooperation with Procurement manager based on existing IT infrastruicture and Global guidelines
• Support introduction of SAP (procurement topics)
• To manage whole PO process till cargo delivered
• Ensure propper documentation of procurement activities in order to be copliant with Novelis rules (DOA, Code of conduct etc.) and Chinese laws.
• Clear and regular communication with ProjectTiger team
• Regular communication with Alternative sourcing team at Shanghai

Qualification of suppliers

• Search potential vendors for equipment and services
• Prequalify these suppliers (often site visits are necessary
• To develop amd maintain supplier relationships

Quality control

• Develop quality plan
• Plan and execute technical audits
• Manage quality claims

Negotiate contracts

• Plan meetings with suppliers
• Negotiate contracts of up to 10 k$ and other contracts if delegated from PM
• Support procurement manager in negotiations with big spend

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree, engineering will be preferable
• Experience in aluminum industry or heavy equipment is preferred.
• 3+ years working experience
• Superior customer service skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization; Good English language skills
• Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with employees through follow-up, understanding their needs and fostering a collaborative relationship
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload; must be able to manage multiple tasks at once without sacrificing attention to detail
• Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Solid computer skills with software applications proficiency, including strong AutoCad and Microsoft Office skills. Ability to learn new software programs quickly. Experience with SAP is a plus
