Scope of Job
Maintain and develop the quality control and quality assurance practices in received material, production process and finish products in Telecom Changzhou Factory.

Organisational place – process / function
Quality Engineer works as a supporting function within the process to manufacture in Changzhou. The position is within Habia Cable China LTD and report to Changzhou Telecom Quality Manager.

Responsibilities
- Raw material testing, confirm and handing of bad raw materials.
- Finished goods testing and confirm.
- Supports in-process and final inspection of samples.
- Administrate and coordinate the document handling system for quality.
- Support to all processes and functions involved in the document handling system.
- UL and product certification activities.
- Follow up and reporting of quality related targets and statistics.
- Performance of internal quality related training-HIP´s
- Coordination of training activities of production personnel related to quality inspection and issues.
- Supports interaction with raw material suppliers and generation of supplier corrective actions when needed.
- Customer complaints – be a part of investigations on customer complaints with emphasis on administrative complaints and support with corrective action reports to customer. Reply customer questionnaires regarding quality issues if need.
- Provide reject analysis to the production personnel for early prevention or repetition of quality issues.
- Be the driving force in quality related improvement projects
- Participate as internal quality auditor.
- Other tasks/activities as assigned.

Authorities
The Quality Engineer can make the decisions to be able to fulfil the responsibilities according to valid regulations within the Habia organisation.

Co-operation and interfaces
- This document clarifies the main responsibilities and it shall not be considered as a limitation.
- It includes the assignment to co-operate with other functions within the Habia Cable group to obtain the best possible result from a comprehensive view.
- It is important to understand that this should not in any way interfere in the way we work together with other parts of Habia Cable.

Competence requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Cable, Engineering, communication or closely related area.
- More than two years experience as a quality or process engineer or similar, in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with ISO9001 and TS16949 and its practical implementation.
- Knowledge of applicable analytical and problem solving techniques.
- Knowledge of cable and raw material standards and specifications is preferred.
- Knowledge of the use and applications of personal computers/software to the standard practice of quality control.
- Skill in presenting a wide variety of training to diverse audiences.
- Ability to effectively interact with external parties including customer and suppliers
- Skill in oral communication in one-on-one and group situations; in written communications for persuasive, training and technical purposes; and in utilizing public relations techniques in responding to inquiries and complaints.
