Mission

1. In charge of design, product validation and the associated means (moulds, injection systems, checking fixtures, validation equipment, etc.)

2. Manage specialists and experts from several activities link to his scope of responsibility (CAD, Tooling and injection, Lab, CAE).

3. Manage entire product engineering budget allocated by project (hours and travels cost)



Job Activities

Defining Product perimeter: Statement Of Work & Bill of material

1. Analyzing Customer Needs and Draw-up PO Specifications

2. Ensuring design for manufacturing considering development CNQ, PPM

3. Making Geometrical Analysis (Craftsmanship: Gap and flushness Tolerances, Datum scheme, GD&T recommendations)

4. Managing internal and external components specifications and drawings

5. Managing and perform risk analysis (DFMEA + Design reviews, Quad Reviews)


Validate Design: prototype / production

1. Managing Specifications, manufacturing and validation of the means (injection tools, checking fixtures, test jigs, End Of Arm Tooling)

2. Managing Product validation (functional, geometrical and cosmetic quality)

3. Managing Product tuning (mould tuning, control fixture tuning, tuning loops compliance)


Project Management:

1. He/she insures coordination of specialists and experts of his extended team

2. He/she manages manufacturing project review and realizes reporting and action plans

3. He/she manages manufacturing schedule, consolidates actions, insures synthesis and reporting of realized actions

4. He/she defines initial Statement of Work of product engineering perimeter including extended team, regarding project perimeter, development budget (hours, hourly rate, travel cost) and Optimap Work

Packages

5. He/she follows achievement of actions

6. He/she follows manufacturing OPTIMAP procedures


Budget management:

1. He/she determines at the beginning of the project provisional budget (hours and cost)

2. He/she proposes adjustments and modifications link to perimeter evolution during project life time

3. He/she determines internal and external perimeter regarding SOW and proposes to Program Manager adjustments and modifications link to perimeter evolution during project life time

4. He/she insures the follow up of budget of project and alerts in case of gap



Continuous improvement:

1. Participating in the continuous improvement of the business, of our organizations and methodologies, in capitalisation actions and in productivity actions.

2. Taking part in the set-up and implementation of the progress plan.

3. At the end of the project, taking part in the project assessment and demonstrates best quality practice and the difficulties encountered.

4. Proposing solutions at technical and department meetings, in order to develop and improve the performance of the function.


Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree or above;

2. Fluent in English (CET 4 or above), good communication skills;

3. Strong ability of logical thinking;

4. 5-10 year related work experience, experience in the automotive industry preferred

5. Strong sense of responsibility
