Brief Description
The EHS Manager will be a leader in the development, deployment and continuous improvement of programs and systems that support environmental, health and safety excellence. Foster a culture of proactivity, accountability, engagement and sustainability through robust programs and processes with the primary goal of reducing loss and liability throughout the Chinese business units. This key role will lead EHS matters to ensure the Company meets or exceeds legislative, corporate and industry requirements, as well as best practice standards.

Travel to other Rexnord sites is estimated to be 25%.

Key Accountabilities
? Develop and implement a safety-oriented strategy across the Chinaregion and measure, report and achieve key metric goals.
? Develop specificEHS objectives and create actions plans to meet those objectives.
? Integrate and partner with business leaders to promote a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention and regulatory compliance.
? Maintain, review and report EHS performance, identifying opportunities for improvement along with implementing preventative and corrective actions as required.
? Obtain, maintain and comply with all regulatory required EHS permits, certificates, consents and documents.
? Conduct internal EHS audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
? Manage and respond to local country EHS regulatory inspections.
? Work with site leadership team to ensure all key EHS operational controls are in place and that the EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
? Create a proactive approach to EHS excellence through cross functional cooperation, communication and training.
? Develop, deliverand/or coordinate EHS training and training tools.
? Oversee internal EHS audit actions to ensure regulatory compliance.
? Manage implementation of site specific EHS programs to ensure regulatory and corporate standards are effectively integrated into standard operating procedures.
? Assure appropriate countermeasures are properly identified to prevent reoccurrence utilizing a robust incident investigation process including 5-Why root cause analysis.
? Provide strategy in the development or deployment of a behavior based safety program.
? Ensure timely coordination of all regulatory or Company required testing and training, including industrial hygiene testing.
? Provide support for the attainment and management of international accreditations (OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001).

Job Requirements

? Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in occupational safety, environmental science or a closely related field.
? Strong record showing demonstrated success in partnering with key business leaders in managing and improving overall EHS performance.
? Ability to influence team engagement and to drive team decision making to conclusions/solutions.
? Must have exceptional skills in building interpersonal relationships, including a high degree of judgment, diplomacy and ability to influence others.
? Must possess a theoretical and practical knowledge of Chineseregulatory standards.
? High knowledge of current safety and loss control practices is essential.
? 5 + years of experience managing Environmental, Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment.
? Must be fluent in English both written and verbal.
