China Account Manager - Global Leader of Engine Part Automotive US Company- based in Changzhou

Our client is a world class provider of engineered components and assemblies specializing in engine and transmission applications. We are headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with manufacturing, commercial, technical and distribution facilities located around the world to support Original Equipment Manufacturers' global requirements.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

· Reports to the Regional Sales Manager, AP
· Primary Internal Customers: Global OEM Sales Leads, Inside Sales Manager, Sales Coordinator, Product Engineering, Quality Assurance


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Achieve team and individual new business awards consistent with divisional strategic business objectives and annual sales targets.
· Initiate, develop and maintain customer contacts necessary to identify customer needs, communicating those needs internally and influencing customer decision making processes.
· Work with the Regional Sales Manager and the Global OEM Sales Leads whilst operating within commercial guidelines / constraints to consistently manage your customer relationships.
· Proactively plan customer visits to support relationship development.
· Support order-to-cash cycle requirements to optimize customer terms / receivables performance.
· Support and direct technical liaison between Charter and customer engineers.
· Manage customer satisfaction goals including determining and recommending an appropriate response to customer.
· Identify and target new product growth opportunities.
· Assist with customer programs requiring cross-functional coordination (i.e. APQP, cost reduction, etc.).
· Develop and communicate quotations, including product pricing, that support division profitability objectives, satisfy sales group initiatives, and maintain competitiveness within the marketplace.

· Work within the processes of the customer's organization and region/countries.
· Working within a commercial team environment with varying reporting, team relationships.
· Working cross-functionally to achieve desired results.
· Maintaining professional communication, internally and with customers despite potential language barriers.
· Manage multiple priorities to meet demanding deadlines.
· Influencing associates without authority.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Four year technical or business degree with two years experience or 5 years automotive component / system sales experience.
· Strong verbal and written English language skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills
· Demonstrated technical aptitude.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Ability to travel at least 50% of your time within the region and other places as necessary to support customer relationship and development needs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· A degree in Engineering.
· Language skills for region/countries supported.
· Previous experience working with power train components.
· Demonstrated personal computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
· Demonstrated project management skills.
· Demonstrated strong sales and negotiation skills.
· Automotive industry experience.
· International business experience.
