Position Summary 职位概要
We are seeking a qualified engineer with experience in lighting and low volt components who will bring a focus to our Value Analysis Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to improve quality, delivery and cost of our product. The successful candidate must demonstrate leadership in driving cross functional teams with a proven track record of delivering new designs or modifications of existing products from concept to launch.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITY 职位职责
1 identify lead and execute VAVE projects across all of EX-proof product lines
2 Implement VAVE methodology in the New Product Development Process to positively impact design, manufacturing, production specifications and standards
3 Work in a cross function team and manage all aspects of development to deliver new products with exceptional quality, on time and to budget which meet the needs of the customer.
4 Develop engineering documentation for product development, souring and final release to production.
5 Work closely with sourcing, PLMS, operations and sales to ensure product requirement are identified, key cost objectives and defined, supply chain delivery and project execution is carried out without interruption.
6 Lead benchmarking and reverse engineering efforts to assess competitive technologies.
7 Identify product costs and manage projects accordingly using a multi stage gate development process.
8 Provide sustaining engineering as required for existing product line.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICAITON 任职要求
1 BS in engineering degree and 3+years experience in design and project management. Advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 1 years of experience specifically in design and development of lighting and low volt components.
2 Strong technical leadership and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be self motivated with a desire to achieve results.
3 Ability to function effectively in a cross functional team environment.
4 Ability to work independently and develop/execute action plans to achieve results.
5 Demonstrated results in cost reduction of design of new and existing products through materials, processing, and supply chain cost reduction efforts, or other means.
6 Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects utilizing internal and external resources including global product development partners.
7 Experience working in where results matter and metrics are utilized.
8 Knowledgeable in DFMA and lean manufacturing processes.
9 Expertise in using Solidworks, Experience with Solidworks, Cosmos Mechanical PEA is highly desirable.
10 Hands on engineer experienced in prototyping and evaluating design concepts. Ability to evaluate parts, develop assemblies and run full validation testing profiles and generate associated reports.
11 Good oral and written communication skills
