Key Responsibilities,
Under the function leadership of Greater China Tax Manager, help ZJG Finance team by
? Participating various tax related projects communications, including contacting tax bureau at ZJG local level, under instructions and after consensus of China tax Function;
? Analyzing VAT and EIT situation in ZJG, initiate projects for continuous improvements, and leading ZJG finance team , including legal entity controllers and plant controller/accountants , to optimize operation to improve tax compliance and efficiency;
? Studying and refreshing tax regulations with impacts to operations in ZJG by attending forums, doing researches in tax regulation reservoir, applying working experience, and discussing with local tax officers appropriately according to consensus opinion and agreed approaches discussed internally with Tax function, under guidance and instruction of China Tax Manager;
? Leading efforts to ensure tax compliance in ZJG sites. Activities include but not limited to checking tax schedules, quarterly SOX compliance requirement, EIT preparation, TP documentation preparation, and etc...
? Under guidance and instructions of, and after consensus of, China Tax Function, providing suggestions for tax compliance and efficiency in other tax related areas including but not limited to Business Tax, IIT, property tax, stamp duty, and local tax surcharges;
? Under guidance and instructions of, and after consensus of, China Tax Function, leading local projects in ZJG to improve tax efficiency and capture opportunities of tax benefits;
? Participating China Tax functional activities, including but not limited to regulation updates, functional excellence initiatives, and various internal trainings;
Job Skills & Requirements,
? Strong technical accounting and China tax knowledge, especially in the areas of Enterprise Income tax, VAT, and Transfer Pricing;
? Microsoft office proficiency;
? Proven record in all aspects of tax-related reporting, filing, discussions with tax bureaus and tax-related issues analysis;
? Strong analytical skill and ability to handle complex tax matters with respect to a joint venture situation and complicated transfer pricing situation;
? Proven ability to develop relationships across departments and cultures and to work with ZJG site Finance operations team and Asia/Greater China Tax/Treasury/Accounting team as an effective team member;
? Proven record of good oral and written communication in English;
? Demonstrated high level of initiative with the ability to work independently and proactively to identify issues and offer solutions;
? Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks in an environment of changing priorities;
? Proven ability to balance attention to detail with broader goals and time limitations;
? Contributing to other finance and accounting projects and the implementation of best practices;
Qualifications and Additional qualifications that would be valuable,
? Bachelor's degree in Tax, Finance or Accounting. Those who hold Business or Economics are also acceptable.
? Advanced degree and CTA, CPA or other professional designation is desired;
? Public Accounting experience especially with the Big 4 is a plus;
? Experience with the FCPA, Transfer pricing mechanism, Unilateral or multi-lateral APA is a plus;
? Working knowledge of SAP is a plus;
? Multinational experience and manufacturing background is a plus
