Description:

- develop an expanded understanding of Caterpillar’s business and accounting practices, systems and procedures;- apply accounting knowledge- internal management accounting, including profit center reporting and budgeting and margin analysis, internal charge(BMS & PAC2), department expense analysis- coordination of purchased services, MSC supporting- development and maintenance of internal controls and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley control documentation

Required Qualifications:Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a Bachelor’s Degree in another discipline plus 18 credit hours of Accounting, or successful completion of the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam or the international equivalent.Demonstrated ability to work independently.Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrated ingenuity and innovation.Demonstrated knowledge of ability to apply math computation skills including basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as, statistics and other mathematical concepts used in modeling.Thorough knowledge of accounting distribution and ability to verify correctness and completeness of such information.Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use the software packages utilized by Accounting.Demonstrated ability to create and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.Desired Qualifications:A minimum of 5 years of exempt accounting experience is recommended.
