Job_description_responsibilities: Job R&R
Consolidate and validate the long-term component demand forecast driven by Caterpillar engine Executive Production Program, communicate with responsible buyers, supplier development engineers, and process control engineers for them to work with their suppliers.

Lead the capacity study deep-dive workshop at the suppliers to develop supplier manufacturing value stream mapping and collect data on efficiency and cycle time. Analyze the data and identify the capacity constraints and make recommendations for improvement. At strategic level support suppliers to develop capacity expansion plan in terms of land, workshop, machine and equipment, people etc., and gain commitment from suppliers to invest and follow up the execution of suppliers' expansion.

Proactively engage internal stake holders (Product Group, Production Plant Supply Chain Group, and Global Purchasing groups) to communicate the constraints and monitor the progress.

Assessment of "As-Is" supply chain do-ability to support special demand change requests, provide supply base readiness analysis report to upper management for decision making. Develop allocation plan for critical components / parts when special demand-supply conditions require. Work with global purchasing and supply chain to implement supplier ramp-up and ramp-down plans. Maintain and update critical supplier capacity database, and capacity expansion update report.

Required_skills_qualifications:

1.Proficient data analysis / compilation skills using Excel, PPT etc.
2.Solid technical/manufacturing knowledge/experience on focus component categories is preferred, especially on engine components.
3.Experience of purchasing, manufacturing planning and operation management, Lean Manufacturing, and 6 Sigma / CPS are highly desirable.
4.Project Management skills and supplier management skills / experience is essential to this job success.
5.Min. Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain is required.
6.Min. 3 - 5 years experience in related industry is required.
7.Fluent in written and oral English, experience working with WW teams.
8.Travel flexibility within China. Estimated 50% of travel time.
