POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose

To be responsible for lead generation work in China and work with other marketing associates to develop market intelligence, knowledge and external marketing communication.

Nature and Scope

The jobholder is expected to:

1. Manage Lead Generation campaigns through interns and other direct marketing specialists - campaigns are formulated with Industry Segment Marketing Specialists and campaigns are in the form of telemarketing, emails, websites, etc.
2. Obtain voice of customers (VOC) feedback for market knowledge and customer satisfaction survey
3. Send out newsletters and other electronics and keep track of analytics to gage effectiveness.
4. Work with Black Belt CI leaders to enhance efficiency and drive for higher productivity and results.
5. Manage and update database of prospects and customers - including working with various systems Air Products subscribed databases to collect company and contact information
6. Manage inbound inquiries and leads to effectively convert these inquiries to business results
7. Effectively work with Sales force to ensure leads are followed up in a timely fashion to ensure progress towards results


DIMENSIONS

? Leads generation campaign, 20-25/year
? Competitors information, prompt tracking and analysis of competitors activities as continuous effort
? Well track and manage direct marketing cost, ~USD60K/year
? Support the Industry segments for leads generation objectives
? Maintain knowledge of loading requirements for each plant in China, including preloading requirement for new plants coming onstream
? New signings as the major objective of leads generation, and our objective is to capture >800 Sales Ready Leads and eventually get >40 new signings, which should be around 120TPD (refer to average exiting L/B customer volume) or around RMB40M/yr revenue;



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Leads generation, to help on setting proper focus on and criteria of various campaigns, and facilitate campaigns for improved efficiency through better selected database and agencies;
2. Training and coaching of more junior Direct marketing specialists and telemarketing interns and working with contracted external agencies for effective information gathering and finding of leads;
3. Monitor and manage competitors information;
4. Track various marketing activities and work closely with CT/Communication teams to drive the best value from those activities;
5. Work to develop gifts and souvenirs with MarComm and Industry Marketing Specialists.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Technical background preferred, with proven experience in telemarketing;
2. 5 years or above experiences in industrial products marketing, knowledge/experience with industrial gases market be preferred;
3. Good communication skill and strong influencing skills;
4. Willing to take initiatives and work proactively across functions;
5. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and in a changing environment;
6. Proven capability of database management and intelligence analysis with good business sense.
