POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose

This job position will be assigned to perform either in house CSA design or supervising the Local Design Institute (LDI) for CSA design for all AP Shanghai executed ASU, GGS, HYCO, Chemicals and Electronics projects. This position will require relative senior level of engineer who is able to perform CSA design responsibilities and provide proper judgment in reviewing third parties' CSA design drawing. He/she will be also expected to provide CSA design and construction material estimation in supporting to PDE. Supporting CSA team infrastructure building is another major responsibility of this role.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

?Manage and perform various aspects of CSA design including drawing and loading calculation for civil, architecture. Perform design and/or review for site preparation, soil survey specification, piling, equipment foundation and buildings.
?Support on building HVAC/ firefighting design condition development and drawing review.
?Conduct structure stress calculation and review
?Coordinate and communicate technical issues among various groups including Company engineering departments located in US and Europe, as well as LDI.
?Review and feedback CSA basic and detail design drawing and spec completed by LDI or vendors
?Understanding APCI Civil/structure engineering standard, spec and international industry civil/structure engineering code and local code
?Conduct civil/structure engineering and detail design work for projects executed in China as required.
?Support project proposal estimation, project execution, construction QA/QC, as built drawing. Initiate civil/structure design changes as necessary.
?Support CSA team infrastructure building, involve in WPM improvement and low cost design initiatives, coach junior engineers and designers.
?Be able to lead a conjoint team to supervise LDI to complete LASU project design with high quality and on schedule is an additional expectation of this role.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

?10+ years experience in Civil/Structure Design for Gas, Chemical or Petrochemical related industry with Design institute or engineering company.
?BS degree in Civil/Structure
?Fluent in oral and written English
?Be able to work in a team environment
?Be able to travel to site as required
?Be able to prepare technical documents, drawings and specification
?Be skillful in drawing, calculation and design with AutoCAD, PK/PM series software. Mastering Staadpro and Framework + is a plus.
?Well understand China local design code and familiar with industry standard and code
?Be able to engineering special structures, such as: water pool, pipe rack, foundation for large dynamic machine.
?Be able to work in flexible time.
?Owns good project design management skills.
