SUMMARY OF CLIENT:
Our client, headquartered in Germany, is one of the leading sourcing companies and exporter of footwear in the Far East. The products range covers ladies fashion shoes, men’s casual, sport shoes, children shoes, canvas, espadrilles, rubber boots and slippers etc.
REPORTING LINES:
Report to: General Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead the business unit of ladies footwear Brand for continuous improvement in relation to its structure, processes, controls, policies and systems and other change initiatives to ensure the Company stay competitive.
2. Working effectively with factories, technical and development team to ensure best performance and resolve any issues arising from merchandising, production, quality, delivery, etc.
3. Manage and monitor the processing of orders from design, sampling to shipment.
4. Regular communication and co-ordination with the Material Department and Technical Department on quality assurance & inspection of the Goods - In line as well as final inspection of all the goods as per the AQL quality standards required by the buyer.
5. Regular communication and co-ordination with Testing & Compliance Departments on chemical and social compliance requirements.
6. Sourcing & negotiating the best prices from appropriate suppliers/factories to ensure that they meet the new procurement strategy and cost benefit analysis.
7. Develop new vendor and build up relationship.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Min 15 years’ relevant experience preferably with ladies footwear buying office background
2. Solid knowledge and experience in managing the entire footwear business processes from sample development, price negotiation, material selection, factory sourcing, costing, bulk production and shipment
3. Strong in footwear sourcing & cost analysis
4. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Putonghua
5. Strong sourcing network and good understanding of EU market and quality requirements
6. With strong business acumen and excellent leadership, communication & negotiation skills
