Chemical Process Engineer /Manager -吴江职位，每天上海吴江来回班车接送

The Wujiang Chemical Process Engineer provides specialized expertise in maintaining and improving manufacturing quality and efficiencies. This includes designing methods to increase process efficiencies and reduce costs, optimizing chemical formulations, recommending raw material substitutions, investigating production problems and recommending corrective actions. This position will be a key member of process improvement teams and the environmental Committee for the plant. It reports to the Wujiang Plant Quality Manager.


Key Responsibilities:
l Establish optimum processes and chemical formulations to enhance the manufacture of products to quality specifications.
l Design methods to increase process efficiencies, cost, yield, and quality.
l Manage and control chemical content standards.
l Ensure process specifications and data are current and centrally maintained
l Establish and document processes and conditions for all production steps detailing PVC mix formulation and color standards/database and train production staff accordingly
l Provide technical support for Statistical Process Management efforts and ensure product performances are met
l Troubleshoot raw material specifications, including suppliers’ raw material standards, tolerance parameters, and optimal use definitions.
l Conduct material analyses and making recommendations for material substitutions.
l Conduct assessments of potential new supplier materials to ensure they meet the production and quality standards.
l Provide risk analyses on the impact of chemical materials on the manufacturing processes.
l Conduct finished product testing in-house or coordinate testing at qualified outside testing agencies
l Investigate production process and formulation problems and recommending corrective actions / solutions.
l Provide clear guidance to plant management on the impact of materials and chemical processing.
l Ensure plant conformance to all environmental regulations and standards including working with governmental and local regulators:
l Evaluate materials/ products/processes, briefing management on compliance, gaps remediation.
l Establish and maintain appropriate data and documents.
l Obtain knowledge of finished product testing standards for the flooring industry to assure compliance to EN and/or Asian standards
l Participate in plant cost reduction/process improvement initiatives and product development efforts
Qualifications
l We are seeking candidates with a university degree in Chemical Engineering who have worked for a minimum of three years in a manufacturing / production operations.
l Technically, you should have excellent understanding of PVC (Poly Vinyl Chlorates) Chemistry, very knowledgeable about PVC Processing Equipment (Chips, Pellets, Plastisols, Dryblends), and of PUR UV Coatings and Curing technology.
l Color matching experience and training on the use of color spectrophotometer or X-rite color matching systems would excellent expertise areas.
l We are also expecting superior project management skills, including the ability to define problems, lead teams, prioritize tasks and deliver results, total competence in Word, Excel, PPT, Project, statistical methods including Minitab.
