Our teams in IFS include: Administration, Branded Merchandise, Business Development, Finance, Global PwC Experience, Global Technology Solutions, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Office of General Counsel, Research, and Senior Partner Office.
At PwC, our Human Resources (HR) professionals drive the firm’s people strategy, create a unique people experience, and work with the business to drive success in the marketplace. The HR function supports our people in reaching their full market value which then sets PwC apart as the distinctive Firm as the ‘employer of choice’.
The objective of the HR Policy team is to ensure human capital management is legally compliant, strategic and commercial to enable the business strategy of Mainland China and Hong Kong. As a member of the HR Policy team, you will drive the major HR policy development and help manage the employee relations cases. This role will focus on Mainland China, although there will also be projects and initiative across Mainland China and Hong Kong. The major responsibilities include:
· Review and develop HR policies to meet the regulatory and business needs in a proactive manner
· Initiate HR policies updates while applicable employement laws and regulations are anticipated
· Update staff handbook to reflect the latest HR policy and communicate with stakeholders on the changes
· Provide expertise advice on matters related to HR policies, together with commercial and practical solutions to effectively address the issue
· Address employee relations matters and interprets regulations and policies as appropriate and consistently
· Perform investigations on employee relations cases where needed to ensure full compliance with applicable local and national laws or ordinances
· Ensure a fair and consistent approach across the firm to promote a promoting a positive Employee Relations culture and mininise risks
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or above
· At least 8 years of work experience as Employee Relations specialist or HR generalist
· Previous experience working in a professional services or multi-national corporate environment is preferred
· Profound expert knowledge on labour regulations at both national and local city levels
· Good understanding of full spectrum human capital practices and the policy-related implications
· Extensive experience in managing employee relations matters
· Demonstrated strong professionalism to handle highly confidential information
· Ability to exercise judgment and remain sensitive to individual situations
· Ability to manage stakeholders and take a balanced view despite different perspectives and interests
· Ability to effectively communicate and engage with people from different background and roles
· Ability to manage conflicts and disputes for win-win solutions where possible
· Ability to work effectively in team-oriented culture
· Demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking as well as problem solving skills
· Demonstrate high resiliency in dynamic environment
· Proficiency in spoken and sritten English and Mandarin Chinese
