Responsibility Level:
This position main focus is to support mission critical application at the plant and provide technical services to plant connectivity (LAN/WAN/Server), collaboration, client computing (Office equipment) while working with HP Helpdesk.
The personnel will work collaboratively with key users/super users to troubleshoot issues surfaced from the application. He/she will act as a facilitator for the key user community group. This position will also act as Tier 1/2 Helpdesk support for the application systems at the plant to record the incidents and work closely with IT application teams to troubleshoot and resolve the problems.
The personnel needs to educate the plant users on the right governance and process on the application and IT space.
The personnel also requires to work closely with HP Helpdesk agents (Tier 1) to troubleshoot and resolve the IT problems for all users in the plant.
Perform duties, with little supervision, utilizing knowledge and skills commensurate with the requirements of the position and uses interpersonal skills to train and aid in problem resolution for all systems.
This position must also demonstrate some key characteristics of JCI model, including demonstrating integrity, drives accountability, customer focus and drive for results. This position requires a strong self-starter who can deliver consistently at a tactical level and be proactive and take initiatives to look for opportunities for continuous improvements and being innovative
Typical Duties:
1. Ensure customer acceptance by testing validation, and training users in changes to business processes.
2. Troubleshoots and supports software applications and business processes.
3. Collects accurate information for use in problem analysis, and process verification.
4. Works with JCI regional and global IT teams to solicit additional assistance / technical expertise as required
5. Assists in documenting procedures and preparation of reports.
6. Assists analysts to evaluate, qualify and improve software programs or processes.
7. Assists analysts to evaluate, qualify and improve hardware configurations.
8. Conducts frontline troubleshooting as required, including on a call out basis
9. Maintains computer room in an orderly condition, with all equipment and supplies accurately labeled and stacked in proper fashion to facilitate rapid access
10. Maintains equipment at optimum performance, conducting performance reviews, housekeeping and returning at regular intervals
11. Ensures security and data administration are effectively managed, in accordance with agreed policies
12. Ensures systems and procedures are compliant with appropriate legislative and JCI’s BOS requirements, ie Data Protection Act., SOX, Backup Policy etc
13. Utilizes software application programs such as MS Office products and other End User standard tools.
14. Provides instruction in hardware and standard software to customer base.
15. Keep supervisor informed of status, concerns or problems and recommended solutions.
16. Ensures adherence to company standards throughout the system life-cycle.
17. Remain knowledgeable of information technology and company business operations.
18. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Technical Experience:
? Experience supporting ERP systems in manufacturing and distribution is required.
? Experience with QAD EE (MFG/Pro) is highly preferred.
? Experience with Bar-Code solution in the shop floor is a plus.
? Knowledge of Windows/Linux operating environments is a plus.
? Experience with Microsoft Products, Outlook and Symantec Suites
Education:
? Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS or comparable field
? 3-5 years of working experience in a similar position to support plant in MNC environment
? English/Chinese speaking skills is a must.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
? Located in manufacturing plant (Chongqing-Fuling)
? Occasional night time and weekend support may be required.
